Lookin good! How do you like the windscreen? I’ve got the Puig touring setup with a clip on visor, but am not completely sold on the setup at the moment... lots of buffeting at 70mph. Those tank grips are sweet! I’ve been considering a set, but have yet to pull the trigger.

(just rode up from work) As for the tech spec grips, this is my 3rd set of those on 3 different bikes. They make a world of difference when you aren't sliding around when stopping or leaning. You just feel more secure around the tank.

The screen looks ugly to me, but it's the best I've seen by far. Looks well integrated. Hope I never need one, but if I do, that'd be my choice as of now. Tank pads are even uglier, but an unfortunate necessity for many. I never install them unless I start damaging the paint, which is rare, since I don't have a pot belly. He he. Hope I don't need them either. The stock 'pads' should be enough for me for cornering, I think, but haven't done that yet. We'll see.

I saw it in another write up and on the MRA instructions themselves that if you don't get the finishing washer with the correct orientation going up the finishing caps won't snap on. There is a tiny lip which secures the finishing cap and they have to mate or no bueno. The caps also don't snap on easily like a normal finishing cap, so you have to give them a good push on to click them onto the finishing washer.
Install on this is a breeze and directly to the instructions for anyone wondering.

Unless you are really doing a Valentino Rossi imitation you don't need the center tank pad on the -10, the seating position is very upright, you'll never be laying down on the tank and any belt buckles/zippers won't be near the tank. And my riding isn't aggressive enough to need the side/knee pads. In two years of ownership I've never contacted the tank while riding. That's the whole idea of a naked bike.....a much more relaxed riding position getting rid of the contortionist riding aspect of a pure sport bike like the Ri. But to each their own as to how they want to set up their machine.

If you use your brakes at all, ever, or have a passenger the side tank gripper pads are a big help to stay put and also in using your body (knees) to help steer, even if you aren't going full aggro. Or, maybe you have never contacted your brake levers in two years of ownership either...What sorcery!!

As I said, everyone is free to set up their bike as they see fit. If you need to grip the tank to help steer or stabilize it go for it, but most riders don't need the aid. If you are sliding forward during street braking your road craft might need some refinement. I don't ride with passenger so that is a non issue for me.
