Ok, I started a gallery with a few pics...but how do I add more pics? What's wrong with me?

Anyone have (or seen in person) the oe windscreen as pictured on Yam's accessories website? Hunting for a screen so that my 6'3" frame stops getting blasted all day long! Not many options available right now when it comes to windscreens...eh?! Also saw a few screens online by Ermax too, but haven't heard any feedback from actual riders/owners.  That's about it though. |

Seems like everything is back ordered. I ordered the Yamaha screen and twice I got notices that it was back ordered so I cancelled. Then I ordered the Ermax tall from Motostarz and I got the same thing. Last email I received Monday, 9/19:
"Hello Mark,
The windscreen is on its way from France, should be arriving sometimes this week.
Thank you
Tom"

The Ermax windscreen received today. Looks good, fits good. I'll give a report on performance and some pics later. One thing, it's available in like five tints, from clear to black. I ordered "smoke" thinking it would be somewhere in between but it actually something of a brown or orange tint to it. Very subtle and it still looks good but for the colors of this bike I would probably recommend any other color.

I had an ermax on my FZ-09 and it fit and worked pretty well.

Tried out the Ermax today, 43f morning ride to work. Took it up to 100mph, worked great. No wind in the chest, big improvement. It's somewhat thin plastic though, a little flimsy. It flops around a little on the upper corners. At $95 a good value IMHO, but if you want a sturdier screen, look elsewhere.
My wife has the Yamaha tall windscreen on her FZ-09 it's definitely thicker.
One note about Motostarz: not really happy with them. Said the screen was in stock then they said it was back ordered, split my order (still didn't receive the other item and they charged me separate shipping when it was free initially. I won't go back to them.

So I went for about a 45 minute ride today to test the Yamaha screen... How does the structure of it hold up? Does it bend under heavy wind-load at speed 60+? |

At interstate speeds (70 - 80), I did notice a small amount of flutter at the top of the screen, but it's not enough for me to subtract any points.

Great price. Every one is a crapshoot anyway, so losing $30 is better than losing $100 and up. Looks just like the Puig. Let us know if it works. My $130 MRA didn't do a thing versus the stock spoiler. |

I ordered the DPM aluminum fairing today. Just so everyone knows with the charges of various things the total comes to 230.00 US for my order (shipping may vary there). The order process is interesting, you place the order then they do an audit, then once that is done they send another email for you to respond with payment information. I have not received that one yet. I did receive an earlier email that I included below:

Its it the mid-size? I haven't been able to find a taller version so I'm not even sure if Mid Size is the only option. Thanks |
