Tried buying it everywhere, and it's 'back-ordered'. I think more like discontinued, but that's why I'm starting this thread. Bike Bandit claimed to have one, and made me order it before giving info, and just got an email that 'due to popular demand, it's back-ordered'. Will call to cancel the order. I have the option of buying an MT-10, which I'll probably do, but prefer the seat with the correct model.
Same thing with the quick shifter. It shows availability until Nov 30, but since all bikes come standard with it, I suspect it'll be discontinued too. if somebody knows of a place which offers it in stock, please let me know. I want to get the OEM one. Thanks. JC

I posted in the other thread about the comfort seat vs a Corbin, I bought mine from Babbittsonline, and used the code and it worked, it took about 4 wks to get, it was back ordered, I think it was around $260 with shipping.

It's worth noting that there will probably be aftermarket qs and autoblipper options if the oem qs disappears. I'm guessing the topic creator flashes the ECU one way or another.
edit: this am I did see the FT ECU has failed on a few people, so maybe OEM is the way to go.

Okay guys, need to call BikeBandit now and cancel that order. I also think the QS is more important, since I could always buy the MT-10 seat... but that brings me to a question: Is it really worth it? The Corbin is out of the question due to its sheer size. Also wonder how higher the comfort one is compared to stock. I can almost flat-foot on the stocker if I try to by sliding forward. Don't want it to be too high, but can manage a bit higher, since I'll never carry a passsenger. Also to relieve the knees a bit. I absolutely hate the wart on the seat, which I already removed, but my tail bag covers the holes. Maybe I need to consider Seat Concepts, if they can supply the covers without those 2 wart holes. The stock seat is too hard; that's for sure. But don't want to make a $300 mistake. Will look a bit more into that, but for sure order the QS, before they run out. Thanks a lot for all your help; greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Those with the comfort seat, could you please elaborate on your impressions vs stock, and also your inseam? I'm right at 31 (so have to buy 32 pants), which I'm sure it's an issue with the Corbin. But don't know if with the comfort. Thanks.

Talked to Yamaha of Cucamonga and QS, FZ-10 comfort seat, and MT-10 comfort seat are all back-ordered until 11/20/2018. I'm doubting Yamaha is still making both seats, but until 11/20 comes around, we'll know if I'm wrong or not. In the mean time, found a seller on eBay which has the QS in stock for $170 shipped. If they confirm they have it, will order it right away. There're other 2 sellers who also claim to have it in stock for the same price, so I think I have that problem covered. Will have to waste time looking for the seat too, so I don't have to wait until the end of November to get it. At that point, it'll be too cold to ride, most likely. Looked at the Seat Concepts, and it's just not for me. I don't want the pillion area 'tapered', since I always ride with a tailbag there. I want the area flat, so guess it'll have to be the GYTR one. Hope it's not too tall for my inseam, but only one way to find out without specific input from somebody with my same 31" inseam. I can almost flat-foot the stock seat, so it'll be borderline. Thank you all.
