H'mm....those wheels look more like an orange-red, would have to see them in person. Color is called 'Ice Fluo', I wonder if it is same color as the old 'Armor Grey' or a different shade? Those that like all dark bikes will be satisfied with the matte black version, no color accents at all.

I think those red/orange wheels and accents would look awesome on my 2018 mattte gray.

Is the raven black identical to the 2017 bike? Saw the official press release and that weird color combo will be available on ALL MT bikes. By the way, MT stands for ‘Master of Torque’.

I haven't seen it in person of course, but I think the black is matte now, and the rotors are all black, without the red centers like before. I though "MT" was for the gas tank, always eMpTy.

Bit of a Tuono copy with the wheel colour, in saying the it's a refreshing change from fluro yellow.

Did anyone notice on the Ice Fluo version, the air intakes are painted the grey color in some of the pictures and black in other pictures on the Yamaha official website.
I really rather have it be painted the grey color. I think it has a much better flow.

Don't like that gray bike at all. The black one seems identical to mine, except with black front carriers, which I actually like, since they give a little contrast. And will contrast the red adjusters on my upcoming Pazzo levers. That's the one to get IMO... unless you're 20 years old. He he.

I don't particularly like the painted scoops, I see no need to accent them. I think that Ice Fluo color is very different than the original Armor Grey. It looks like it has a lot of white or silver in the color. Will have to see it in person. I'm not a black bike person, too staid, but everybody has their own likes and dislikes.

Personally, (as if anyone cares what I like...hahaha), I like variety.
I have the 2017 gray. I’d really like to do a season with the yellow wheels, then a season with the red/orange wheels, then a season with the black wheels, etc. I think they would all look awesome.
By the way, the "scoops" are gray only in some of the photos. They’re black in other (most) photos. Maybe there will be some of both. I kind of like the gray "scoops" too, as well as the little gray trim thingy near the passenger seat.

I'm not a black bike guy either, mainly for visibility reasons, but compared to the other colors offered, black is the only decent one IMO. In fact, all others were a deal-breaker. I almost gave up on the FZ-10 because I couldn't find a brand new leftover, but I snatched a 0-mile one 2 weeks ago, so a happy camper . But as always, to each his own. Yamaha should offer at least 3 colors, to have more variety. Seems to me they thought their market was younger folks, but I think they're wrong. Many (if not most) of us are already in old-fart territory. Ha ha. And at least I don't like boy-racer color combos, but maybe others do. I signed up for the 'Yamaha panel' after filling the survey, to give them 'old-fart' input.

An FZ/MT-10 is too pricey for a lot of the younger guys, as well as the insurance angle. When I bought my -10 the setup mechanic said he wanted one but couldn't swing the payments so he got an FZ-07 instead. A completely different animal for sure, but that's all he could afford. $13,000 is a lot of coin for a naked, Japanese bike, especially for a younger owner. Start adding on gizmos and doo-dads and the price creeps up to FIFTEEN LARGE.

Valid point, but at least where I live, I see youngsters with R1s, which are even more expensive. And yes, they probably live with their parents, or in an apartment, but have their nice bike. Ha ha. On the FZ/MT-10s, I honestly haven't seen ANY on the streets. Heck, I bought the only one my local dealer had for over a year, so yes, they're not that popular. But I see it as a better and cheaper R1. Insurance should be less than an R1 or similar, no? But I've never owned an all-out sportbike like that. The most sportbike I owned was a Hayabusa, but don't even remember how expensive it was to insure. I'm curious what are the sales numbers of FZ/MT-10s vs R1s. Does anybody have those?
