Like the title says, looking for the exact fit grip puppies folks. Tried many searches, but no luck. I don't want the ones you cut; they look like crap. With the exact fit ones, they look close to OEM. All factory grips are too small for my long hands, and grip puppies are the solution, and quite cheap at that, and no need to mess with grip removal, and possible issues after that. They also help with vibes, so hope they're all I need. If not, then I might need help in the future with gel/rubber aftermarket grips. Thanks gang. JC

Like the title says, looking for the exact fit grip puppies folks. Here's my puppies. Biglee suggested and I followed up. The throttle side took me a bit, since I'm light handed when it comes to working on that side of the handlebar, but the left side wentbon in seconds. No cutting involved for installation and the throttle snaps back just as before. Bought them off eBay. I didn't see a part number but here's pics of the important part of the package. Great mod for the long handed by the way.

Thanks brother. But no part number? Was looking at them today, and all I could find were 5" long, which is too long for our 4-1/4 grips. But found the very similar Grab-on brand, which has 4 different part numbers, and the one we need is MC-401, which is fo 4.25" grips and 1.25" bars. The MC-402 is like the grip puppies, which are for 5" bars and 1.25" bars. The 403s are 4.25" but 1.45, so don't get those. If you got the 5s, I'm really surprised they fit properly. Maybe they make 4.25s, and you got those. Can you please post the link where you bought them? I was going to order mine from Amazon. Tried cutting some once, and they look like crap, since it's impossible to cut them perfectly. Plus they look cut. And yes, sometimes I hate myself, but since there seem to be proper fitting ones, I'll try those if I don't have time to check out your link. But thanks anyway. They're a must indeed. Best mod under $15 for me. Take care.

I purchased them from this seller: ebay.com/usr/motorcycleinsightThe grip puppies are the only item they have for sale, so it shouldn't be hard to find them. If I remember correctly, they were around 18 bucks. I really dig them.

They're the 5" ones, FYI. Do you have a picture installed on your bike? I can't see how they'd fit perfectly when they're 3/4" oversized. I ordered those once, and had to cut them... but as careful as I was, the cut looked like crap, so off they came. I think the 4-1/4" grab-ons are what I ordered last time, and they fit perfectly, and were still looking great when I sold the bike a couple of years later. I'll mention how they fit this time. But since I don't have a compressor anymore, might have a harder time installing them. I used compressed air to move them very precisely. Will try with compressed air for keyboards (along with hair-spray, of course), and see if that works. If it doesn't work, might try soap and water, but with spray they end up solidly installed. Remember having a hard time before resorting to the compressor, which made a quick job out of the installation. Should get the grips tomorrow, along with the Graves slip-on, and the full slider kit. Then later in the week the battery pigtail, radiator grilles, and other crap.

I'll get a pic this weekend. I'm not an engineer or anything, but I would imagine when you stretch them out it may lose a little length(not sure) but they fit just fine and my throttle snaps back no problems. Even with my bar end mirror. once again, this is my first rodeo with grip puppies but I never knew they came in different sizes.
Maybe when you installed yours you left them too taut, idk.

The grip puppies don't come in different sizes; only 5". They come in 2 diameter sizes. The grab-ons come in 2 different sizes, and the same 2 diameters as the grip puppies, for a total of 4 combinations. The correct p/n for the FZ10 is MC-401. Five inches is too long, not too short. And you cannot shrink them, nor stretch them hardly anything (they just rip). Just got mine today. They're the perfect size. Dreading the install, which has always been a PITA, especially now that I sold my compressor. I'm about to find out if I can do it without the compressor . These are the ones I've installed in the past, and always had fit perfectly. They're exactly the size of the grips. Will edit this post after I'm done with my results.

Thanks for posting pictures. Just like I imagined, they fit big. They don't look bad, but no way this anal guy could live with that. Ha ha. The good news is that for the same money and material (same supplier), you can buy a perfect fit set, like I did (pic below). Up to you guys, but wanted to announce you have a choice now. Judge by yourselves . Hope this helps.

But only the 'Grab-on' brand (4.25 and 5"). Grip puppies only in 5". But you have to be careful with the diameter too. Both brands offer 1.25 and 1.45" versions. Our bikes are 4.25 x 1.25, and only Grab-on offers that. The specific model I bought is MC-401. Hope this helps.
