Would like to see a writeup on the aftermath. This doesn't seem all that lucky to me, but I guess there was no oncoming traffic and he walked away unscathed.

An idiot and an incompetent, all in one. Passing, while doing a 2nd gear wheelie is just plain stupid. I'm sure he thinks he's a great rider but in reality his road craft skills suck, bigly.

Yeah, that guy is a doofus. Very low skill level. Disregard for respecting rules of the road. I’m sure the bike is insured, though, so he’ll just get another one...for free. Meanwhile, all of our insurance rates go up, because FZ-10 owners are evidently hooligans..."facts" that insurance companies consider when they decide how much to charge all of us.

He could have still made that corner, he froze up when he spooked himself by letting his throttle hand slip off the grip and unsettling the bike.

Yes he was doing foolish things but at the end of the day none of us on here can change the world sadly. The thing that caught my attention more was when the bike comes down he jerks the throttle but after that the bike seems to almost rev itself with no throttle input. Think this could be caused by the TCS freaking out?

Think this could be caused by the TCS freaking out? During the slow mo replay, it looked like when he was trying to grab the bar his hand was slipping giving it a bit of throttle those few times making the bike jerk. If he was in B mode, that probably is what put him into that wobble making it hard to recover before hitting the dirt.

He’s already riding his new 1290 Superduke like a douche in his new videos. I guess he didn’t learn anything from the experience.

Why is he riding with his high beam on during the daytime? I thought that was pretty common. Makes us more visible to oncoming traffic (especially people making left turns in front of us) while the daylight enough to drown the high beam out to not distract or blind anybody coming the other way. I do it. As for the accident, seems like he came down in a tankslapper .It recovered but he gave up on the turn and fixted .he certainly could've still saved it .Never give up on the turn . Lean further .Look farther through the turn, and go for it! Most the time you make it out of the shitty situation you just put yourself into. Glad he's ok.

Why is he riding with his high beam on during the daytime? Cause it looks dump running just one headlight. I always run high beam. Don’t know what Yamaha was thinking not running both all the time like a vehicle does

Three things to commit to memory and to repeat and reinforce often if you get too hot into a corner:
1. LOOK ..... look to the curve exit, where you want to go. 2. LEAN ..... keep off the brakes and lean that bike over. 3. BELIEVE .... believe that you will make it, don't give up and run the bike off the road.
99.5% of the time you will make it because the limits of the machine is far, far greater than the skill level of the mug controlling it. That attitude has saved me a few times in my 41 years of riding. DO NOT PANIC.

Don’t know what Yamaha was thinking not running both all the time like a vehicle does That second light is a high beam that will blind other drivers. No one else cares what your bike looks like but you are being a liability riding everywhere with a very bright LED full beam blinding every other road user.

It’s not blinding people in broad daylight According to people riding in front of me it's dazzling and distracting in their mirrors even in daylight. Just turn it off rather than potentially causing accidents over something you can't see is uneven when riding, and no one else cares about.

But it’s not. It’s just a single, small, LED headlight, that may or may not make us slightly more noticeable to other drivers on the road. It’s my habit as well, to ride with the high beam on during the middle of the day. Along with slightly altering my lane position when approaching intersections and areas with heavy traffic, it might help to make me slightly more visible.

I'm far from the most skilled rider, but your system has also worked for me.

Look there’s a slower car and a double yellow, time for a wheelie while passing....
I guess with age and having a family, I see all the unintended consequences that could happen like sending a family off the road to avoid your mangled wreck.
Save that shit for the track or a vacant area so you can kill yourself only with one of your gay friends filming you.
