Hey!
I already blew the fuse for the OEM 12-volt auxiliary power point on the FZ-10 running my motorcycle tire air pump. The factory fuse is only a 2amp, and my fast charge cellphone charger is 2.5amp so it will likely blow it for that too. Has anyone installed a 3amp fuse instead or is that a bad idea? I just find that the 2amp is a bit weak seeing how It won't even have enough juice to run my air pump in case I have a flat.

Could either of you point me in the direction of the that fuse? Blew mine the other day... thinking I should have wired in my Denali D2s somewhere else... oops
I've got an upcoming trip... need it fixed up quick.

Check the previous page for fuse box locations. www.manualslib.com/manual/1287441/Yamaha-Mt-10.html?page=93#manual

Much more challenging... Finding new 2A fuses. Advance and Auto Zone didn't carry. Finally found them at a NAPA.

Mind you I'm not an electrician, but I've now seen enough motorcycle fires and cooked wiring harnesses caused by accessories to realize how important these fuses are.
I personally wouldn't go to a stronger fuse. The fuse is at 2 amps for a reason. The bike, the wiring, and the battery are all designed in a certain way to distribute what is essentially a small power source across the bikes various electronics. Motorcycle don't have car batteries that are designed to supplement air conditioners, stereos, HUDs, backup cameras, etc. Motorcycle utilize batteries and wiring harnesses that are designed to essentially just run the core components of the bike. Which is why so many people have electrical problems after adding things like external chargers and LED lights especially when they do not properly wire, ground, and use appropriate fuses.
Like smanz said, that outlet definitely wasn't intended to run something like a pump. And if your phone charger is a fast charger, you might have to use a regular charging cable. Or sometimes those chargers are designed to run at regular charging speeds when they detect insufficient current.
Like I said, not an electrician, but electronics and motorcycles should never be taken lightly. At the very least you'll cook your wiring harness. Worse case, you have a bike burning to the ground to which no warranty, and even insurance may cover you.
