Does the 2WDW flash remove the top speed limiter on the FZ-10? I don't think US bikes are limited to 135. I got mine to around that, and I'm not interested in going any higher (or flashing the ECU), but just curious if that's really the case or not. What is known is our bikes are redline (gearing) limited to around 160 indicated. i can say it is not limited to 135. given the right conditions, the bike can hit 150 bone stock. so i imagine the 151 2wdw flash would get it to 165 no problem. i was able to hit 150 (and im well over 250lb) briefly before i came to my senses lol and that was satellite speed, the speedo said a little more than that so idk who to believe but i know the bike has plenty of power stock. Soon I will know what that ECU flash life is about though, that covid sale from 2wdw has peaked my interest.

I had my bike flashed by 2wdw.
Had her bouncing of the rev limiter in 5th.
In 6th I saw 164 on the odometer before I backed off.
But honestly my throttle is still jerky. I know they tuned it because the quickshifter symbol is on and it seems to wheelie much easier now even with TC on.

I opted for the reduced engine braking on my 2wdw tune. Did you? That made a massive difference because it doesn’t just cut the fuel off completely when you close the throttle. If you didn’t get that option that may explain why your throttle still feels jerky. You can send your ecu back and have them reflash it for free if you wanted to add the “decel cut removal” option.

Only thing that sucks is the downtime but they’re good about getting them shipped back out quickly. I really think it’s cool that they’ll reflash for free even if you mod the bike by changing the exhaust or air filter for as long as you own the bike. 2wdw is a solid company with great customer service.

rracerfz10 did you have to specify that you wanted the reduced engine braking? i didnt ask for anything, just told them my bike was stock and it feels like i got all the advertised benefits and changes from the website. can def say my engine braking is lessened.

No I bought a 2017 and did not come with a quickshifter. I just use the throttle chop method and so used to doing now I dont miss not having a quickshifter.

Yes I did have to tell them I wanted it. When I spoke to Nate he said there were only two real “options” and that was one of them. The other was if I was going to remove the exup servo and cables and safety wire the valve open. I chose both of those options. As for the quickshifter my bike is a 2017 FZ-10 and they did NOT come with the QS but it was a dealer installed option. All 2018+ MT-10s came with the QS from the factory and at no price increase.

FYI, the bike’s top speed limiter of 160mph is removed when flashed.
