This works great for how I like my set up I'm a supermoto or dirt biker rider and not a road racer. I like engine braking so kept the fuel on off so the tamer makes it not so sketchy in the turns but if that's how you like it to each his own.

I know this is an old post, but a friend of mine rode my bike the other day and he said that the throttle abruptness scared the crap out of him. I could see why he felt that way. I must have gotten somewhat used to it, and I guess only started thinking about it because he brought my attention to it.
I called Throttle Tamer today and asked if this product would make a difference on a ride-by-wire throttle and they said that it wouldn't make a difference with the MT-10.
I have already got the 2WDW flash, but was curious if it can be further tuned to soften the throttle response in a particular mode. I will call and find out one of these days.

The guy at throttle tamer didn't know what he was talking about. It makes a huge difference on the 10 I know for a fact. It is still a cable actuated throttle and the tamer reduces the rate of pull in the first part of the twist. I have a 2wdw flash also. But the bike and throttle didn't get smooth till I installed the tamer! The tamer worked awesome on my wife's 09 which has the exact same fuel injection system.

Just go back and read this thread I'll say it again even with the tune it made a huge difference like night and day. I think it would be really hard for the manufacturer G2 to test every bike they make twist for before and after or even comment on.
That's why we use forums like this to get real life experiences from real users
Trial by use and not some salesman who apparently did not want to make a sale or was out of stock on.
Probably the best 80 bucks I've spent on my bike and I reuse my stock grip . It smoothend it out after the tune that I thought something was wrong or was loosing power until I kept twisted to unleash the beans. It's a must have on a mt10 tune or no tune , and I still ride in mode 3 just cause I like the power to come on smooth and not wicked like in 1 and 2 almost scares me how fast she comes up in 1 or 2.

I’m running the g2 cam for the R1 instead of the MT10. I run it in mode 1 all the time because it’s so smooth.
