So, i am taking the mt10 on a road trip, my friend will be taking his stryker, we are riding all the way there. i have purchased some bags that tie to the seat, just wondering if anyone has taken a road trip or any suggestions on what to take? aside from toileteries and clothes, i am bringing some tire plugs and a compact air compressor. Not sure what else i should take, maybe some waterproof covers to go over my clothes in case of rain.
On a side note, i did buy a corbin seat, which hopefully should be here in the next week for the ride.

A rain suit is definitely a good investment. I'd suggest bringing chain-cleaning/lubricating supplies; especially if riding through rain is likely. First-aid kit should be mandatory, IMHO. A basic toolkit; if you're bringing tire plugs and a compressor, may want to throw in an air pressure gauge unless the compressor has one built in. If you've got it, a spare key.

If you're cleaning you're not riding

Last time I went to the Dragon, all I brought were chain lube, extra clothing, rain gear, tire plug kit and a credit card.
The trip for me is about 630 miles from Deals Gap.
Oh, and a map of the area.

+1 to all the above suggestions. I couldn't see where you're riding from so here's some things I take on multi-day trips. A towel and bottle of water for the face shield is great to have on board too. Aspirin keeps the mild pains from riding all day in check. Padded bike shorts also help on the long rides. If you don't have waterproof luggage the rain covers work but I find it easier just to put things that can't get wet in plastic bags before packing. A cell phone battery pack can come in handy to charge your phone without an outlet. I occasionally end up in some backwards dry county so I take a pint bottle of whiskey with me. Don't forget to leave room for beer. A bundle of zip ties. They are motorcycle duct tape and fix anything. Paper towels and diarrhea pills if you're prone to that sort of thing. You don't want to ride into town with one sock! I can't ride a bike all day without a Cramp Buster. Some cash.
And on the FZ10 I won't go on a trip without an extra gallon of fuel, though I have a topcase rack for the stuff and a tailbag for the gas and some misc small things.
If you find yourself tight on space take an cheap empty backpack. You can load it with light things and wear it to free up space if needed for souvenirs or whatever.
Depending on your load you may need to bump up preload on your shock/fork. A pre-trip shakedown ride never hurts.

I should have mentioned i am riding out of Chicago, and i purchased some saddlebags and tail bag from Sedici, so i think space wise i will be good, although i did burn a hole in the right saddle bag from the exhaust, but i patched it up. i will be staying in two wheel inn, there is a town just about 10-15 mins away that i can get beer! also the tail bag can fit a 12 pack of bottles in it. definitely am starting a check list, all your help is appreciated!

...i will be staying in two wheel inn... That's where I stayed for my trip there a few years back, nice little place far enough away from the Dragon that you don't deal with much traffic and the road to/from is pretty nice. Really liked the mini-garage for the bikes (which was my #1 reason for choosing that hotel). You're not getting 5-star accommodations but it's decent enough.

Aside from stopping (mainly gas and my buddy needing to stretch) i was relatively comfortable, i did splurge for the corbin seat and im sure i would have hated the ride there and back had i not.... I WILL DESTROY YOU!!!!!!
