Hi all, Checking in from Baltimore area, MD. Picked up my Armor Grey 10 in late August. Busy Summer so only ~450 miles on the odometer as of today. Loads of fun so far, aside from my underbits burning from the high engine temps. Very satisfied with probably 85% of this bike, pretty close to perfect, just a few upgrades planned here and there (will try to hold myself to that but not promising anything ). This is my first bike over 600cc. Looking forward to chatting and hanging with you all...See you around the forum! Ride safe...rubber side down! Cheers!

Welcome. Coming from 600's, I'd love to here your thoughts on the 10. The transition has been much smoother than expected. The 10 is surprisingly nimble and handles very well. Felt pretty darn comfortable and relatively confident on it since day 1. The weight difference between the 10 and my previous FZ6 isn't as noticeable as I thought it would be. All things considered, it has been a great experience riding the 10 so far. Of course, I don't have to stress how much power it has...wow...blink of an eye and you're at lightspeed. My 600 always had some limitations and situations where I needed more oomph...the 10 certainly answers the mail there. I'm a fairly conservative rider but find myself getting a bit wild on the 10 more and more...hehe. The only negative comparison I can think of is the slow-speed/turning maneuvers. Kind of a challenge for me on the 10, but no biggie. Practicing when I can in empty parking lots. Oh yeah, the engine heat is taking some getting used to...man oh man... chestnuts roasting on an open fire, seriously! And, the fuel range is atrocious, so no more long countryside rides while I space out. The fuel gauge needs a screaming meanie buzzer! All that said...loving this bike! Very pleased. After a few tweaks and upgrades, it'll be amazing!

I'm hoping the re-flash and de-cat will get rid of a lot of that unwanted heat.

After a few tweaks and upgrades, it'll be amazing! I had an R-6 before my FZ-09 and yeah, I had to rev the hell out of it to get into any kind of a powerband. Between traffic lights it was slow, no power under 8000 rpm.
