After 1000 miles with the Seat Concepts seat I decided to click the stock seat back on just for comparison. There is no comparison, the stock seat sucks and will never be used again. My wife even prefers the new seat when 2 up riding. The only negative would be the slightest bit of height added but its so minor that I'm not concerned. I highly recommend this seat!!

I'll second that. After 5 minutes on the stock seat, I'd start getting a wedgie. Miserable to ride on that thing. The Seat Concepts seat isn't perfect, but more than comfortable enough to ride for hours at a time.

I'm also debating the purchase, SC is A$10 delivered more than the entire Yamaha comfort seat, and then I need to find somebody to put it on + $$? Anyone in Aus want to sell theirs?

To put the seat on all you have to do is put the key in under the rear fender and pull off the stock seat and then slide the new seat on, it couldn't be easier to install.

Seat concepts is a foam and cover kit that must be installed on the stock pan. That's why he would spend extra to have it installed.

I wasn't aware, seems like it's pretty expensive for only a cover and some foam then.

I used to think so, but from the reviews I've read it's worth it! I'm actually going to order one tomorrow for my wife's mt09. About the same price as a comfort seat, but not as much additional height. I'm able to install it myself so no additional cost there.

Did 1500 mile road trip with the seat concepts seat....it does not compare. 100000% worth it.

I didn’t like the seat concepts seat. I went back to the stock seat which is way more comfy for me.

About the same price as a comfort seat, but not as much additional height. For the record, there's NO additional seat height at the front of the OEM comfort seat. But it's higher where you sit, although less than what it looks like since you compress the seat more due to being softer. It was the perfect solution for me. Seat looks immensely better, didn't add any reach to the floor (I'm a little inseam challenged), and added enough height at the rear that my knees don't complain anymore. Just one negative: I had to spend a bit of time making modifications so the front edges didn't poke a hole on the vinyl, the paint, or both. And I still have the stock seat, which I could sell. Hope this helps.

The comfort seat for the MT09 I ordered the seat concepts for adds almost an inch to the seat height on the MT09. Which won't work for my short legged wife! You seem to be a nice enough guy, but sometimes you treat other board members like we are stupid. Try using a little more tact in some of your responses. Yes I do understand your situation. And I wish you all the best! I personally have over half a million miles on 2 wheels and a half century of riding experience. When i make a statement I usually know what I'm talking about!

Another touchy guy; geez. I just pointed out the comfort seat (an alternative to seat concepts) doesn't add any height at the front compared to the stock seat, so how the hell is that treating anybody like they're stupid? I'm trying to help others who were in my shoes, thinking the comfort seat would be higher everywhere. Damn. Sorry, but I can't return the 'nice enough guy' compliment because you're the opposite. Time for the 3rd ignore list addition.

If you run into a-holes all day, you're the a-hole" Maybe you're the latter. I still find you utterly pathetic, insult someone, talk down to someone, and when they tell you they don't like it you ignore them. You handle problems like my 10-year-old, except my 10-year-old learns a lesson from it, you just do it over an over again.
