I was really annoyed with the sensitivity of my FZ-10 at slow speeds. Everyone else is flashing there bikes, but I was not sure I wanted to go that far with only 1000 miles. Instead, I went this route and I just wanted to confirm IT WORKS! No matter what mode, A, B, or STD it has the desired effect at slow speeds. Giving you just a little relief when you are turning slow, or like in my area, most of the roads are slabs of concrete and not perfectly level. A bunch of bumps and a sensitive throttle makes riding in traffic near Dallas a nightmare. Actually, riding in any traffic is easier with this ingenious device. I was super impressed with this product and thought I would share. Easy install. About 10 mins

I also have installed and am using this product. It did make a difference. If you're careful like I was, you can re-use the stock grips.

Jasontechpro, the MT10 isn’t listed as a bike this fits. Which SKU did you buy?

As a new owner (yesterday), what’s the difference among the 3 riding modes then? To be honest, didn’t even notice which mode my bike was when I rode it home yesterday, but the throttle didn’t seem too bad. But even if it was, milder modes are supposed to make it less sensitive, no? What was bad was the ride. Hard as a brick. Need to check all suspension settings and tire pressures. Will never have a passenger, so will start with 36/36 and see how it is. Also will check if suspension is at the default. If yes, will have to mess with it. The compression seems brutal at the rear, but have to figure out if it’s both high and low, or which one. Fun stuff. Ha ha.

Some people feel the throttle is twitchy and overly sensitive, I've not had any issues or feelings that the throttle is overly sensitive. As a new owner I wouldn't change anything until you get some miles on it, if you have an issue with the throttle you can address it then. Personally I like the throttle response, it's like a new puppy, lots of energy and ready to play.
The 3 modes are named/numbered differently between the '17 and '18 model years, same response, different nomenclature. Take a look in your owner's manual for the descriptions.

I just installed the G2 Throttle Tamer...NEW BIKE. My main (only) complaint of this bike was the overly sensitive throttle. I could not hold a steady speed. Any tiny bump felt like the ecu was surging. On/Off was snatchy. For me, this was not just at low speeds. Even on the highway, it was twitchy and surgy. It's raining in Dallas today, so I have only ridden around the block. But I was stunned at the difference it made. I ran in TC 2 and 3, and both worked well. Once I take a longer ride I'll update if necessary. For now, this is the best $80 I have spent.

I use the G2 throttle tamer on my tuned bike. I like a firm suspension and ride on very bumpy surfaces. A lot. The G2 makes bumpy low speed turns a pleasure in any throttle mode.

Do you all think this could be emulated electronically, and potentially more customizable, with ECU flashing? I've been considering an ECU flashing setup for a while. Customizing the throttle response is one reason, for sure.

Customizing the throttle response is one reason, for sure. Yes. ECU flashing, in my case, improved the “twitchy” throttle condition. Changing the throttle cam profile just improved it further for me when riding at slower speeds on very bumpy surfaces. The slightly lazier throttle hasn’t really been a compromise for me at higher rpm’s. The thing still wheelies on demand and sometimes not on demand as it always has. G2 had FZ10 listed as a model selection on their website last year when I placed my order. If that’s changed, I’m sure that G2 could speak to the profile that they sold last year.

Thanks a lot. I just ordered this and I’m stoked to try it. How was it to install? Well I actually haven't ordered it myself, just happened to find a link to it. I have on the other hand have gone down to my local cycle gear and installed a throttle tube for an R1 on my FZ, for about $10 it made a huge difference! But it still needs that last bit of fine tunning that you'd get from this. Install is super easy. Just take apart the house to the throttle cables, slip it off and install the new one. The hassle is installing new grips on it, it's a pain but a little bit of lube or an air compressor does the trick.

I’ve replaced grips quite a few times, but the few times I have a motion pro throttle Kit, I had Mechanics do it for me back when I was racing. Thanks again

Thanks again I’ve installed the G2 Throttle Tamer and it does smooth things it getting on the throttle. However, I find that it affects more than just the point when getting on the throttle too much. The bike does feel as torquey on the low end, so I contacted to see whether the quick turn would work to possibly gain the torque feel while maintaining the slightly smoother feel getting on the gas. If that doesn’t work, I will consider reinstalling the stock throttle tube in the spring after I can test it all out.

I installed my G2 throttle tamer last week. Super easy to install. I got a bunch of cams (postage to Australia sucks). I went with the 300 cam and it feels great. Much smoother especially coming off a closed throttle and hitting bumps in the road.
I mostly commute so it makes sense for me. Just turn the throttle quicker when you need to or change engine modes. It'll still wheelie easy in A mode.
