Hi all, I know that I have heard that 04-06 R1 wheels are compatible with our 10. I also see that there is info out there that an 04 R1 front wheel is also compatible with 09 R1.
In another example an 04 r1 front wheel part number is 5VY-25168-00-98. A '17 fz-10 front wheel is part number B60-25168-00-98. So I question....is any front wheel with a " xxx-25168-xx-xx" conmpatible?
Thanks for the help

I'm not exactly sure about the FZ-10 but I ran into this issue with the ZX6 where they had similar part numbers with just a few numbers difference between the current generation and older generations. They actually turned out to be different because of the rotors. So the wheels were compatible between the newer generation and older generation, however, the rotors were NOT compatible with the older style wheels. The newer style rotors have ABS/TCS rings so that mightve been the reason for being incompatible. I think there was also a thickness difference as well.
So it may be a similar situation for what you are trying to figure out.

Yea, the older wheel will not have mounting for the ABS ring. the physical wheel is the same, but the surface isnt machined or drilled for ABS. Also, some years ran different axles, so the bearings are different.
