Hi All, Maadi here. Purchased mine on Oct 2016, put 10000 miles on it since. One rear tire change, numerous chain cleanings, a couple of oil changes... and many awesome rides! I absolutely love this bike. It's my 3rd one (4th-ish, but the first one was the learner bike for both me and my husband, started in 2005), I replaced a 2011 FZ6R with this. I'm not terribly technically inclined, can do my own oil changes and such, but haven't done a lot of modding. I've made it more touring oriented with Givi side cases (from my FZ6R) and touring screen, works well for my commute. Am looking to improve the clutch/front break feel this year, any recommendations are welcome! The image is from us getting ready to go to the Catskills last year. That was a great ride, we even managed to dodge all the deer!

Welcome aboard, you really don't have to do any mods to enjoy this platform, it's strong right out of the crate.

I'm interested in how you got side cases for this bike. I tour a bit (400 - 500 miles) as well and like to have side bags. Welcome Hi All, Maadi here. These are the Givi monokey V35 side cases, I got them from my dealer when I purchased the 2011 FZ6R; I bought the appropriate rack for the FZ10 from Revzilla: Givi PLXR2129 Rapid Release V35 Side Case Racks Yamaha FZ-10 / MT-10 2017-2018 Item: P372804SKU: 1207271 They now have the "tech" option for the cases which has a clear reflector instead of the red one, to fit the FZ10 look better, so Item: P194958 or Item: P215580 for the case.

Welcome and safe riding. Dodging deer can be a bit pucker inducing.

Welcome and safe riding. Dodging deer can be a bit pucker inducing. Was dodging some turkeys yesterday - not as bad as deer 😁
