Based on the pop up I have viewed 71 post and have not introduced myself.
My user name is MLWMacon and I am 56 years old. Made the switch 5 years ago from dirt to street bikes. (After a crash that required 3 surgeries and 4 months in a wheel chair followed by 3 months on crutches.
After healing I purchased a cruiser which I hated. Traded the cruiser in on a 2012 FZ-1 which I put 10,000 miles on in 3 years.
My wife will not ride on back of any bike I am driving as she thinks I maybe a tad reckless. Bought her a FZ6R which she loves.
Purchased a 12 FZ 8 for my youngest son when he was 16. He uses that bike for wheelies and has taken over the FZ -1
Purchased a 2017 FZ 10 new in October. Bike was to replace my 2012 Highly modified FZ-1. First mod on this bike was a integrated tail light and a fender eliminator. Graves slip on was next followed by a cat delete pipe. This past Monday I sent my ECU to 2 wheel Dyno and was surprised to find the flashed unit in my mailbox this morning. Played hooky from work this afternoon and installed block off plates and removed the 02 sensors. Love the bike.

Congratulations on the awesome choice and amazing story of resilience and love for riding! I went from an 2008 FZ1 to the 2017 FZ-10 and love it. Ride safe, Brother!

Welcome to the forum! A lot of my friends ride dirt and a bunch of them have had similar nasty injuries. dirt is not soft! haha. Glad you're all healed up.
