Hey 2WDW! This is Robin. Is this the flash that I received when I sent my ECU in last week? I asked about the new hp figures but didn't get a reply so it must have been this secret tune?

Is this with full stock?! That's amazing!! Is it much different with o2 delete and removed servo? May have to go back to stock to be more stealthy, hard to get on it without being heard a half mile away. Thanks for all your hard work.

All of the piping (header, cat, muffler) is all 100% OEM.

Robin, It is close, but not exactly this one. Nels was still in the process of fine tuning this file until 48 hours ago.

Sweet. Have there been any updates made to the cat delete tune in the last couple of months?

Hi, just to let you know i linked your post on to : mt10ukoc-forum.boards.net/thread/444/steve-jordan-motorcycles-dyno-work in reply to a post on the limits of power increases that can be gained. Your honesty over your new flash is called in to question, and as the FZ10/MT10 world wide community is through the power of technology connected and were libellous counter claims can become damaging to a business i think it is only fair that you are informed

We appreciate the heads up!
To be honest, we almost expected to be called out because we were astounded at the results we were able to achieve.
Let me briefly give some details that may explain how we achieved the 151hp number on an FZ10 with a stock exhaust and catalytic converter:
1) Our FZ10 test bike has lived the vast majority of it's life on our dyno, and we have outfitted it with an FTECU Active Tune system. The Active Tune allowed us to make real time changes and accommodate for fluctuations (such as engine heat soak) that we normally cannot account for. The factory catalytic converter has a small O2 sensor bung that will not allow for the Active Tune to be installed, so we remove the factory bung and welded a larger "automotive-style" bung that would allow for the installation of the Active Tune.
2) Nels started with our 147hp stock exhaust flash, and created base throttle and fuel mapping for the Active Tune system to constantly attempt to adjust for.
3) While on the dyno, we wired the factory exhaust valve open to allow for as little restriction as possible with the OEM exhaust in place.
4) It is commonly thought that even a properly setup dyno will have some variation between horsepower/torque readings. At our shop, we have three dynos that all read identically to each other. Furthermore, we verified that they read identically to those at the Dynojet headquarters while visiting their facility.
5) No two bikes are built the same. We see, time and time again, identical bikes perform at different performance levels simply due to manufacturing tolerances and proper break-in.
6) That fact that our FZ10 has spent so much time on our dyno may attribute to a very small portion of the horsepower increases we have been able to achieve. We routinely see bikes have 1-2 horsepower increases as the mileage on the motor increases past the few thousand mile mark.
We will always stand behind our work. We invite any naysayers to visit our shop and see the results of our work for themselves.

Some of the Brit's will question and find fault with anything from the USA. Will go so far as to make things up to prove their facade of accusations. When the old UK MT-10 forum got over run by spammers because the forum owner went awol, they started accusing us of being the spammers because they didn't understand how spam software works.
Thanks for the explanation guys. I/we here never doubted you one moment, Nels is the most honest dude in the business. This is why @2wdw is the only tuner that I have on my forums.

First up, apologies to 2wheeldynoworks for sidetracking your thread. I'm sure your company stands behind its statistics. I'm on both forums, neither a Brit nor an American so unbiased towards the ethnicity of where each forum is generated from, only here to share, learn and chat about the FZ/MT10. owle ,I read the thread on UK forum you shared, didn't seem to be a lot of slander towards your thread from the Brits, more a debate between two people mainly who had differing opinions on dyno results, one member knows his stuff...one doesn't, and that is where the dispute was based. I found the best response on the other forum was by a member who said "people seem to be getting hung up on numbers". I for one can't use the HP that comes as standard from the factory on my MT10, but I'm all for other riders getting the peak performance out of their machines by companies such as 2wheeldynoworks . @cruizin I know you are an administrator on this forum but I found the criticism a bit harsh. Yeah the old Brit forum was dead in the water and crashed due to its administrator going MIA. Yes there was a huge spamming problem towards the end due to software being out of date, but the constant calls to jump ship to USA Forums was met with cynicism from Brits who were loyal to their forum which at the time had massive amounts of data, all of which is now lost. Cheers people

Will the knowledge gained with creating this tune be beneficial to other setups not using the stock exhaust?

David at Vcyclenut has an equally good flash for fz/mt10. That way you don't have to deal Nate at 2WDW, guy can be a dick!

Don't know what you did to piss him off, but Nate (and Nels) have been nothing if not helpful and supportive for me and the majority of forum members here. Yours is an unpopular opinion.
