Greetings from Springtime Chicago. Still wearing multiple layers. Oh, well. I currently have a 2005 FZ1 with a smaller front sprocket and a FZ09 with top of the line suspension. Great motor terrible stock suspension. Been riding 34 of my 62 years. 12 months a year. Peace, Wayne-O

Feeling the weather pain in Indiana. Nice bikes and we agree on the 09 100%.

Welcome to the forum. I saw your other post that you're looking to buy an FZ10. Hope a good deal comes your way! Good luck!

I really cant justify the purchase with 2 stellar bikes and limited parking. I resisted buying when the FZ10 was released. I like new but Ive seen plenty of low milage modded FZ09's on the forum I almost kicked myself. If something shows up here I might jump on it. So is it really all that?

The FZ-10 is a couple steps up from the FZ-09 in all the important areas.

You guys must be hanging out for some riding weather up there, meanwhile down here in Oz we are in our second month of Autumn/Fall and we still have 30°c +/ 90°f down here. wayneo you won't regret getting a 10 if one makes itself available, 09 is a great bike but the 10 is next level.

My 1st gen FZ1 has a smaller front sprocket and does everything I need. Although sometimes I feel I deserve top of the line. I prefer the styling of my bikes over the FZ10 but I dont focus on that much. I'm sure I'll get used to it. So dont compare it to my FZ09 but to my 1st gen FZ1. Is it really all that. I'm pretty sure it is.

I came from a 2009 2nd gen FZ1 and there was no comparison, none. The FZ-10 felt lighter, sharper handling and way better hp and performance and much easier to ride fast. Time moves on and technology advances in 15 years has been huge between a 1st gen FZ1 and the current FZ/MT-10.
