Well as the title says I'm new to the forum and wanted to join as I see a lot of good info and people that are sharing some bad ass bike photos. So here I am. I purchased the fz10 about 6 months ago and enjoy every ride. I recently put a 3/4 Yoshi alpha SS. and damn it an angry beast. Now wanting to get the ECU flashed by 2wdw and install some ais block off plates. I also installed the vagabond fender eliminator bar end mirrors and a few misc things.
A quick back story on my name. Haha. Well I hit a black bear on my last bike (R.I.P. 2014 ZX10R) and killed the bear and broke my right femur, tons of road rash with 3 skin graphs.

Sounds like you got a good start on mods. The flash will wake it up but get those block off soon. Nobody will ever convince me that backfires are good for your engine. Hell of a story. Must have ruined yours and the bears whole day. Glad you came out on top. |

Ya it back fires to much and some big gun shot like pops too. Not really my thing. Ya I will order the plates and send out the ECU and it should be good for a while. I got some sweet rim tape I need to install. It's reflective and a pretty cool pattern. After that I'm not sure what else I'm going to do but I'm pretty sure I'll find something. Haha.
Ya there's nothing like spending just over a month in the hospital and 6 months off of work to make you go insane. Kind of a freak accident damn bear ran out of the woods like a dear right at the perfect moment for me to say hi up close and personal.

Yo, shouldnt nels at 2wdw be able to disable the AIS and make block off plates unnecessary? That's what he did with my FZ 09, and had no backfiring.

I think ur still gonna need to block off the air line from the air box. Possibly but i wouldnt bother till i rode it and knew i needed them after disabling the AIS. |
