Anyone here ever used this headlight lens film protector? I’m thinking of getting the blue to install on my MT-10 that I’m fixing to buy very soon. They sell it precut for the fz-10. www.lamin-x.com

I've never used Lamin-x on a bike, but I did put it on my wife's SUV. Two weeks after she got her Lexus RX350 in 2010 she had a shattered fog light as she rolled into the driveway after a short trip to the grocery store, I suppose from an errant rock. Once it was replaced I ordered the Lamin-X film in blue and 7 1/2 years and 90,000 miles later it has prevented any further cracked lenses, and still looks good although I think the light blue tint has faded a bit. It's a nice thick laminate that is easy to put on. The glass fog lights on vehicles are susceptible to damage since their lenses are glass and they sit low. I also put it on my Focus ST fog lights two years ago and after 14,000 miles no issues. Their motorcycle application must be a new line for them as I don't remember seeing it when I last ordered from them. I've never had any light fractures on a motorcycle as they sit up pretty high and I generally don't ride in traffic where you can be hit by errant stones, but it won't hurt to put it on your bike. Cheap insurance.

I've used their products on my car. Good products. Pretty easy to install if it comes as a kit with the included things to make install easier. I can't remember if it came that way by default or I had to pay extra.
Give it a day or two to set before riding.

Being our lens are so small I applied mine dry without using water. Mine went on perfect and no air bubbles at all.

A lot easier on a small bike lens then a curved car brake light. Could put it on dry (that's what she said).

I have the yellow Lamin-X film on my lenses (yellow wheels). I agree that it works well and looks good. I feel (imagine) that it might get people's attention slightly more as well, as I coming through intersections and such — especially when running brights during the day. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn’t.
My only wish is that the templates had been cut slightly larger — 1mm all around. The regular white lights peeks through around the edges a bit.

Installed the Blue Lamin-x film on my MT-10 headlights I'm curious if after you installed the blue if you noticed the quality of light has decreased at all? I know once you start getting into the blue colors for headlights in the Kelvin rating (generally above 6500 kelvin) your lights actually become less effective as it is more difficult for your eyes to focus on things on the road being lit up at that color temperature. Did you notice anything like that? Do you have a picture of the lights with the blue film lighting up the road at night? I'm thinking of doing this but I may end up just getting the clear film because I'm worried it makes the lights a little worse, even though it looks better aesthetically. Would love to hear your insight.

I didn’t notice any difference. Still very bright. I’ll have to take some pics.

I picked up two sets. One clear and one smoked. I got the clear just incase the smoke is too dark and affects the brightness of the lights. Haven't had a chance to put them on yet. Damn work anyway!! lol
