I donβt have experience, but it definitely looks like an easy, inexpensive, fun way to personalize your machine. ππ½

I've had rim stripes on my bikes for years. I had red rimstripes on my FZ-10 (fluro wheels) but decided I just didn't like the look on those bright wheels and removed them a few months ago.
The ones in your link are pre-curved, I've never used pre-curved ones but they should work ok.
I've always used Tapework Graphics (http://www.tapeworks.com/), they have huge selection of colors in various finishes (solid, metallic, fluro, pearlescent), widths and they stay on with no issues. They also have the Stripe-It-All tool to facilitate installation. They sell pre-curved stripes too. Great customer service and fast shipping. I look at them as kind of the gold standard for rim stripes, they know their product.

Thanks evitzee. I checked out tapeworks too and they look like they're good quality and have a good track record. They don't seem to have much for bike specific Yamaha kits, but for solid generic stripes it's a great option.

Thanks evitzee. I checked out tapeworks too and they look like they're good quality and have a good track record. They don't seem to have much for bike specific Yamaha kits, but for solid generic stripes it's a great option. The reason they don't have a lot of bike specific kits is partly Yamaha's fault. In years past Tape Works did offer a lot of bike specific kits but now Yamaha wants payment for use of their name and logo, and in the last few years they have been specific as to what colors may be used as well. Obviously this all costs $$ for the licensee and this usually means it isn't cost effective to license the name, especially with bike sales sliding down. I think the rest of the industry does pretty much the same thing now, pay up to use the name. Consequently it means most of the stuff has to be generic and non-brand related.

Have they not changed the name to MT in the United States as well. And " Are you unable to find your favorite Rimstriping SpecialGP? Do you prefer a different color or shape? Let us know! If we are able, we will create it for you! "

They don't do the FZ-10 version. Haven't ruled them out though.
