Either will work and i have used both. I think the physics of putting it forward gives you a tiny bit more leverage when lifting.

All you guys and your fancy shmancy Pitbulls! 😉
I know it’s the best stand out there. My Trackside does great for me, though, and I’m good with it, gosh darn it!

I know PitBul costs more than other brands but if you ever have a bike fall off a stand, it's too late to be wishing that you'd spent the money for a better stand. It's like the old magazine add for Ankra Tiedowns, the dirt bike laying in the road, and the tiedowns failed, and the guy standing there saying he should have bought Ankras. If you find something that works better or as well as PitBull that you like then that's great, I'll stick with PitBull for their quality and customer service and their high standards of production.

Is this a 2018 (US-spec) MT-10? I didn't realize the grey/neon color scheme had changed so much for 2018. The grey looks to be matte and somewhat darker. My pit bull stand showed up today

Yup, it's a matte gray finish now, whereas the 2017 was the glossy armor gray.

Pit Bull stands for sure, I've had mine for 12 years, best purchase ever. I only needed to get different pins and adapters for the different bikes I have.

When i used the front stand Pit Bull it hits the brake line and puts pressure on it. Also the pin is only half way in when the front wheel is lifted. I was wondering if someone has done something different with it. Thanks

Pin should be all the way in before raising, it shouldn't back out as you're lifting the bike. Pin for my stand is #36

I was wondering if someone has done something different with it. Thanks I don’t have a pit bull front stand and haven’t needed to lift the front on my MT10 yet. But on my previous bike had a similar issue. Slight Interference with the headlamp assembly and pin didn’t seat all the way. I ended up finding a deep socket that fit in the hole. Used a smaller pin where the socket fit over the top of the pin, but sat on the larger circumference edge of the pin, and lifted with that combo (my stand came with multiple size pins). Solved both problems, the deep socket went all they way in and gave me the clearance to not rub against the headlamp.

I have the Abba stand that allows for either just the rear or both wheels to be off the ground. Very secure and easy to use especially when I changed tires a few thousand miles ago. Also nice for winter cleaning and waxing wheels too!

I'm at work and next tome i raise it i shall get a pic. On my zx10 if i turned the wheel slightly then it wouldn't hit the lines but can't do that with MT10. Thanks
