Hi, I bought my black 2017 FZ10 in January after the local bike show. It got delivered at the end of January and has been sitting in my shop since then with 0.1km on it. It's been a nasty winter in the Calgary area so I've been going stir crazy waiting to get out on it. Good to see there's a good forum up and running. I've been snooping around and thought it was time to register. My previous bike was a silver 2006 FZ1 that I had since new and did all the 'Ivan' mods. Love that bike and never saw a reason to change until the FZ/MT-10. I was tempted by the Super Duke and BMW S1000R, but I thought the 10 was better suited for me.
I have purchased the quickshifter and heated grips and currently have some R&G sliders on order. I will place an order for Evotech rad and oil guards and BMC air filer. Also, considering the gold plug magnetic oil plug, tail tidy, levers and maybe a slipon. Down the road (after break-in), I will probably do the ECU flash, decat, brake pads, brake lines, etc.
Thanks for the great info you guys are providing.

Welcome.....I came from a 2009 FZ1 and the difference between two is stark. You'll find the -10 much snappier at all rpm's, and better handling by far. I would say that putting in the same effort in riding in any particular situation you'll find yourself going 15-20 mph faster on the -10 than the FZ1, and feeling more comfortable doing it. Hope you have an early spring, I vacation in Glacier National Park in NW Montana in the summer so I keep an eye on their webcams and it looks like they have tons of snow on the ground and still below freezing temperatures.
