"Giant heap of shit" - Joe Salas.
This guy is an idiot.
I've been riding 30+ years, commute daily on a bike, been on the track since 99. Owned over 30 motorcycles and ridden a lot more, the FZ-10 is the best street bike I have ever ridden, by a very wide margin. Calling it a giant heap of shit is just plain ignorant. He even said it was "virtually unrideable" on the track. What a total moron. I just shredded the track on an stock FZ-10 in STD mode, with the OEM footpegs. Yea, the pegs are low, I dragged them a few times. But the FZ-10 is supposed to be comfortable and it definitely is. What bike doesn't need rear sets? Every track bike I ever owned needed rear sets. '98 R1, '00 R6, '07 CBR600RR, '05 GSX-R1000, '08 R6.....every one had rear sets and suspension re-valve. Don't try and put a street bike on the track and then find fault with it. You want a track bike? Buy the R1. I bought the FZ-10 because 95% of the time I'm riding it on the street.
Now about the foot pegs. I like the Attack design with multiple hole for peg mounts. I never needed this on my track bikes, I just wanted the pegs up and back. But I'd like to be able to set the pegs in the stock position for every day use, then raise them up & back for an occasional track day.
My advice is: BE PATIENT. Good stuff will come out for the FZ-10, it's all still in development. Learn what the best mods are and then spend your money, don't just jump on the first thing that comes out.
