Hello All,
I will be in the market for the 2018 MT 10 once I return from deployment later this year. I test rode the 2017 FZ 10 prior to leaving. It's a great ride that fits my personality. The only thing I would need to do do, for my comfort, is lower it a bit. Have any current owners lowered their bikes? How low can I get the seat height to? Are there any kits or parts that you would recommend. I stand 63.5 inches tall and would at least like to have both feet on the ground. At stock height, I had to choose a foot at stop signs and traffic lights. I currently own a 2013 HD Nightrod Special, that seat height is 26 inches or so. On that I can sit down with flat feet and a slight bend in my knee. I appreciate any and all feedback. Thank you.

Funny things motorcycles, at a standstill, having longer legs is a definite bonus, but when riding, being short takes the advantage. Unfortunately us short folk have to stop sometimes. I'm 61 and 5'5", so I ain't gonna get any taller. Having had a few supermotards in the past you get used to the bitumen being a notch below where you'd like it, so getting used to one footing is a necessity. They do make lowering links for the MT10 but I chose not to fit them as I found the bike's low centre of gravity superb to balance on one foot at a stop, or two on my toes. I also didn't want to play with the bikes geometry which has been engineered to it's current specifications. Having said that it all comes down to what makes you feel the most comfortable. If it is going to make you a more confident rider fitting the links, then by all means do it. You won't regret getting the MT10 believe me.

Hmmm, I haven't thought about it that way. TBH the fact that I had to balance on one foot at stops really didn't bother me when I started from the stop during the test run. Maybe I'll give it a try once purchased for a few before I make a decision about lowering it.
