I should have done this a month ago (and done it last year too)...
Since the 10 is sleeping out the winter in the garage, I removed collision coverage for it from my insurance policy. It'll save a bit of money through the winter and I can add collision coverage again when I'm ready to get it out in the spring. It takes just a few minutes if you can make policy changes online.
I hope this saves someone a few dollars too!

This is a nice suggestion if you make monthly insurance payments. I pay the full annual premium up front to get a discount so this wouldn’t help someone like me. Great idea tho.

Great idea tho. clayton I insure with Progressive and also pay the annual premium up front for the discount. The policy change provides a prorated refund from the date of change to the end of the policy term, along with updated policy declarations.

How much do you usually save on the annual premium doing that?

I also removed roadside assistance along with collision. The savings for me is approximately $75 per month, which should save my around $225 until spring. Excellent suggestion @smanz. I will do this every year going forward!

Just renewed my Allstate policy which was pretty cheap, I think 340 for the whole year if paid all at once discount. The sportbikes I used to insure were slightly higher.

Yes, it is full coverage. I'm old though and have all the discounts with all the cars and homeowners, which brings it down quite a bit.
