Hey guys, I don't actually have a FZ/MT yet. I am actually going to be ordering a 2018 MT10 this week or so. I've been trying to do plenty of research on the bike beforehand. I currently have a 2014 FJR1300 (Rode 21k miles and 23 states in 2017), which is my main touring bike, but I'm ready to have 2 bikes in the garage. Any recommendations on must do mods or accessories please feel free to chime in.

The only two must haves for me were a rad guard set (Evotech) and fender eliminator (Vagabond). The exhaust is too quiet for me but I don't think I can live with the noise levels of a 3/4 system. Not sure what I'll do there. Probably just leave it stock.
Will drop in some better brake pads at some stage but I'm happy enough with the stock brakes on the street for now.

Hello from FL.
Discotex hits all the high points. I did all plus added a Yosh 3/4 Alpha. It comes with a db killer but it was too quiet. Running the pipe w/o is my preference and let’s the motor scream. I’m used to a thunderheader on my Harley’s and so are my neighbors.
I just got my ecm back from 2wheeldynoworks and the bike bike flys plus it smooths the throttle response. Definitely a must when the bike breaks in.

You will be amazed on how "flikable" the FZ is. Only downer as a touring bike is the small gas tank and fuel mpg (30ish on the FZ vs. 45+ on the FJR). I also put a small windscreen (Yamaha oem) and tourtech rack for storage. I have friends in the Tn/NC/Ga. area and riding with them the FZ is a blast to ride! Also a plug for the slightly used FZ that latte here has for sale. If you can live with the color, it's an awesome deal. I bought his black FZ and it was set up perfectly......just saying PM me with any questions and happy shopping! |

Got my new 2018 MT10 home today. I am so excited to get out and ride this thing. Vagabond fender eliminator going on this weekend and Woodcraft sliders will be here next week as well as some vortex stands and spools.  |

That’s the same 2018 I’m looking to buy in the next few months. Be sure and give us a ride report after u get her out on da road.
