My girl is all I need! I love my FZ-10.
Interesting comment... "It’s like a 192 bhp sewing machine". I guess that means something to some people? Like, sewing machines are a marvelous piece of engineering that I haven’t appreciated all my life?
I really do like the look of that open front sprocket, though. Anyone looked at that option on our standard FZ/MT?
If nothing else, it does give me some ideas on what I might try with some plastidip colors.

Should just be a sprocket cover. You could take it off and not reinstall it.
I did some research a while back after a chain swap and I remember reading about chain failures without sprocket covers causing engine damage but if you have that catostrohpic of a failure, I'm not sure that plastic cover would save it anyway. But was enough to cause me to reinstall mine on my other bike. Those covers also prevent chain wax/lube from slinging up onto the engine, your leg, and other parts.

Thanks for posting the article. I was expecting them to build the FZ motor but the R1 motor is already done. Makes sense. I’m drooling and dreaming of a poor mans build by buying a R1 motor now....

I have a nice Carbon Fiber one, I bought from Bogie, that I'm not going to use, if anyone is interested in buying it. Very nice...

Great Pictures thanks 002 !!!! I swapped a 17 R1 engine few weeks ago ( As few members here know i already had a silver 15 engine since winter 2016 in the basement, but this 17 engine in black with 45 km was too good to let the bike go) Weather condition here are SHIT , so i did just 100 meters with the bike

Given the random reports of R1's snapping their cranks, I wonder if this built engine in the featured bike might be running a similar risk?

I'd like to go this route in the future, but want to run a 2016+ R1 engine with the mt-10 ecu/harness/injectors. I wonder if the stock mt-10 injectors have enough overhead to handle an extra 30 horsepower...

Very cool, but that is now an R1 with an MT headlight/bars. I do like it though....

And does the R1 engine just bolt on, on MT 10 chasis? Thank you in advance 🤗
