duffdad: Any ideas how to reduce the crazy throttle response? I’ve installed a Power Commander but really when I hit a bump my head just snaps forward...Best bike ever, super strong but my lord how the hell can I reduce that throttle deceleration?

I ended up getting some 1mm thick adhesive backed felt. I removed the throttle tube and ended up applying two small 1/4" X 1/4" squares to the handlebar at the point where my hand would apply pressure to the throttle. This was just enough to give a little more resistance to the throttle, while still allowing it to completely close when I let go.

Get a reflash, and set injector cut on decel to false.

I have my ecu flashed by 2WDW, which disables the fuel cut. While this helped, it didn't completely resolve the issue. I still found that I wanted a little more throttle resistance.
While I guess it isn't really an "issue", just personal preference. As the FZ-10 is my first ride-by-wire bike, all the other bikes I've had seemed to have more throttle resistance, which helped the inadvertent throttle movement when going over bumps.

A tune definitely fixed this issue for me but i went with a local tuner who worked on this specific issue to make it better as part of the tune. And I was able to go back and fine tune it. What helped was myself and another friend brought our FZs to him so he had the incentive to really generate a custom map for us to both open up the FZ and fix the choppy throttle response.
Post up where you're from, maybe somebody can recommend somebody or get in touch with 2WDW and I'm sure they can work on something more specific for your needs.

I'm in Southern Indiana, I think my issue is my own lack of throttle control while going over severe bumps. When I'm on level ground, I can modulate the throttle without the "fuel-cut" feeling, but when I was going over larger bumps, I'm sure I was inadvertently opening/closing the throttle. This is where a little bit of extra throttle resistance helped me. I also installed a PCV w/autotune along with display. I did find that the afr at smaller throttle openings (0%-2%) was not consistent. I was working on correcting that with the PCV, but then it turned cold. So hopefully I'll be able to get that sorted out next spring. I might try removing the felt if I can get the fueling issue smoothed out, but I like the feeling of a little more resistance, so I may just leave it.

Trick I found when I owned a Triumph Explorer 1200. Super sensitive throttle, every bump in road changed throttle, twitchy, drove me nuts. This is the lube used in camera zooming lenses, when you focus the lens you feel the smooth friction from the lube. Temperature tolerant. Use this lube between the throttle grip sleeve and handlebar.

If my bike could travel at the speed of light, would my headlights work?

I would have to agree with both thomascrown and Red and Black. Get a tune and set decal as false. Not sure about Power commanders abilities but I used the provided Graves flash with my EVR exhaust that is through FTECU. Pulls like a freight train but tame enough during slow city riding and bumps.

The 2wheel dyno tune solved this on mine as well

Thanks for all the advise. Ended up getting a Throttle Tamer from G2 Ergonomics. Best 70.00 ever! Completely changed the response from snatchey to roll on SMOOTH. No more head snapping, no more keeping the RPM’s up while up-shifting. Completely different throttle response. The Throttle Tamer was easy to install and after adjusting the cable tension...I swear it is perfect!

My two pennies worth form the UK. While the issue is sorted the throttle response is harsh on the off throttle for our bikes by design.
You've got a power commander but this doesn't give access to the closed loop part of the fuel map. This isn't a popular way to go for the MT10/FZ10 for this reason.
This part of the map operates at the low end of the throttle band and hence the off throttle part so your PCV won't do anything to help this.
An ECU flasg will give access to whole map and remove the parts that demand correct refuelling such as the Lamda/O2 sensors.
You can get a bench flash for half the price of a full dyno run but will make the bike way better addressing all the issues and niggles to make our bikes perfect.
