Used the Yamaha Comfort seat for about a week now on my daily commute (25 mi each way) and a 50 mi ride. IMHO It's definitely more comfortable than the OEM but not enough to justify the $330 I spent on it. I'll probably look for something more cushy (softer foam or gel) or get a custom seat.

Follow up: Seems like the comfort seat might be breaking in a bit, it did feel a bit more comfortable than previous.

I put the comfort seat on my FZ immediately after getting it home from the dealer with less that 50 miles. Now I have over 3K on the bike with the comfort seat and I can say that its loads more comfortable than the stock seat. The price is a bit much but I would not be able enjoy riding with the stock seat so its worth the investment IMO. I also like the look of it. Although I do believe ANY seat option would be better than the awful stock seat. My arse is too sensitive.

From the description it seems like it slopes back from the tank, i like to sit a little forward do you notice it wanting you back further? How tall are you and do you notice the .5"? |

I did not notice the .5"...it's raised .5"? Lowered? I didn't know that. I'm 5'11" 34" inseam. I have to remind myself to sit back a little but I creep forward too. You can still sit forward comfortably. It feels like a saddle between your legs and a bucket for your ass. It works. |
