It's kinda like asking someone to incriminate theirself, I try not to pull it up. I've had 2 back surgeries I ride like a wimp albeit a fast wimp.

I'm not sure how many people are recording their riding. When I'm out on the FZ-10 I have no phone, no nav, no music, no cameras in operation. I'm out to enjoy myself away from the distractions of everyday life. It's just me, the machine and the road, I don't want extraneous technology intruding on the experience.

Im honestly just trying to get this forum busier. The FZ07 and FJ-09 forums are busy, but for some reason FZ-10 owners seem to prefer facebook. I don't get it, as everything there just gets buried at bottom of the page in hours.

I don't get it, as everything there just gets buried at bottom of the page in hours. I'm 100% with Evitzee's way of thinking when I'm riding these days, no distractions. Cruzin, the lack of wheelie video (evidence) on this forum may be the result of a younger demographic of members that on the the FZ 09 & 07 forums. The FZ/MT 10 has been referred to in the tabloids as the older riders R1, ...ouch. Having said that, at 61 there's not much that beats exiting a corner on a track and lifting the 10's front wheel at full throttle down the straight. I know those R1 riders are grinning under their visors as they go past me. How about a thread of riders age and locations. Cheers

Something else to consider is that the 07 and 09 platforms are both older and more affordable, meaning the population of riders is most likely much larger, so even if the same proportion of owners visit forums, theirs will be more active. I'm 29 but i do feel like this forum skews old relative to the median sport rider, but that just means users have more disposable income for dope builds and fewer immature opinions and/or trolls. As the platform ages and there are more and more people riding 10s, hopefully activity picks up.

I’d post a video of myself poppin' a big ol' wheelie, but I don’t know how to do them that well so that it actually looks good. This is the first bike I’ve had where the front comes up so easily, so it honestly kind of makes me uneasy when it does. I’m practicing to figure out strong acceleration while keeping the front on the ground. 👍🏽😉
That, and I am kinda "mature", at 44, and should know better than to do crazy stuff like that. On that note, it is interesting that the FZ-10 seems to draw an older demographic. For me, the FZ-10 is way more bike than I need. I will never come close to using it to its full potential. So, the R1 is just silly for me to even consider. And, at my age, the R1 seems somewhat... juvenile. Like, I’d be trying too hard to still be young on my "crotch rocket". I’m almost a little bothered whenever someone refers to my FZ-10 as a "crotch rocket". I’m quick to correct them and tell them that it’s a naked bike. Haha.
Anyway, I’m really enjoying this bike. Haven’t had anything like it before. Lots of fun.

I wheelied across an intersection once right in front of police car, got pulled over and after taking my helmet off the cop said "I thought I'd be looking at a young hoon...not an old one" we both had a laugh and he let me off with a caution, a rare thing these days. Attitude is everything.

I got pulled over for doing a wheelie right before the weather turned cold. He asked me why I was doing that. I said "I don't have an excuse, just being a hooligan". Luckily we know each other and he laughed, asked me about the bike and told me to do that stuff out in the country. I'm 37.

I giggle like a school girl everytime I get an acceleration wheelie, but as another person above posted, I like to go out on rides to get away fro all the noise and buzzing of other technology. No phones, no cameras, no iPods, nothing. Just the motor and I. And by the way if you think this forum is slow you should check out the other FZ-10 site I no longer go to.

The fz07 and fj-09 forums that I own are busy as hell like normal but fz10 owners spend all their time on the fz10 facebook group that I admin. I dont get it. All helpful tech tips get buried and lost in facebook hell. I dont get it.

Attitude is everything. I cannot top that, but a friend and I got pulled over in the middle of nowhere Arkansas for passing a cop in a no passing zone and did not get a ticket. For the record, I did not know it was a cop. Fortunately he was going about ten below the limit and I didn't have to accelerate too hard to pass him. He was a good guy.

Just to add this tidbit. In our state of California (Which has been ruined by political mismanagement) they will slap you with an exhibition of speed ticket if caught on one wheel. Very expensive, almost but not quite as bad as a DUI in insurance costs so no I don't make a public display of what I do on a back road or empty area devoid of any other traffic. If I remember correctly it is a 1K dollar ticket as well. Could be wrong there though.
