Hey Guys and Gals, New here. Was on another FZ10 group, but appears to have vanished. I have had my 2017 FZ10 for about 14 months. Have about 4200 miles on it. With the seasons changing, not able to ride as much as I wanted, plus I got injured and could not ride anyway, not from riding, something else. Still liking the bike, the engine ticking is the only negative I can say about the bike. Still 100% stock. I saw that the 2018's will be labeled as MT10's, so cool, we have a 1 year bike. never experienced that before. Oh, I am in the USA as I think the old FZ10 group was over seas somewhere i think as they always refered to their bikes as MT10's.. Glad to be on this groups, Thanks, Dave

Welcome Dave. I think it's pretty cool we will have a bike that only existed by name for one year. I'm sure if these bikes take off and become a mainstay of Yamaha for years to come, it will add to their collector's value years down the road.

Yep, she’s good, clean fun. Sometimes she’s a little dirty.
Anyway, I’ve had mine for almost two months, and also bothered by the ticking. I’ve done a bunch of reading, and trying to decide which action to take. It’s under warranty, of course, but I have a huge hang-up about taking my bike to the dealership — it often comes back in worse condition than when I dropped it off, so I do everything that I can to avoid that option. Resetting the auto cam chain tensioner seems to be a very short term solution before it starts ticking and tacking again. I’m deciding if I want want to install a manual cam chain tensioner on my brand new motorcycle that has only 1,500 miles on it. The guys who have done it seem to be very happy with it.

Over the weekend, I started the 10 and just sat on the bike and revved the engine. It will be Spring time at least before I can ride again. It was like 65 degrees here, perfect riding weather. As they say, Oh Well! D
