Found a CL posting w/ these photos and the author just says "Austin Exhaust" can anyone here tell if this is a slip on, cat delete, or full DP exhaust based on photos? It's Austin Racing GP1R exhaust. It is a decat 3/4 pipe. I have the same exhaust but with the titanium can and silver tip 😁

I asked the seller a few basic questions, 1 of which being the question I posed in this thread. Rather than answer, he linked me to a NEW craigslist posting with some additional information added ("Austin Racing exhaust ($1700)") and a $500 increase in the overall asking price for the bike (LOL). He also said he hasn't done anything to the bike besides the exhaust, and I would think you'd have to flash to ECU w/ a cat delete so I think I'm gonna go ahead and pass this one up/keep biding my time.
Major thanks to you though -- i really appreciate the info.

Nothing done? He lies! I see a tank bag and spools on top of the exhaust! Haha

If you see the bike still listed in a couple weeks, contact him again with your offer.

I’m looking at the Austin belly exit exhaust. Can you all comment on the loudness of Austin exhausts? Comparable to anything else in volume ?

Any time you remove the cat, which is where almost all of the sound is attenuated, you are going to have a loud exhaust. The can installed isn't going to change the sound levels that much.

Do you think there will be any difference in sound between the belly exit one vs the one with the can by the wheel ?

Do you think there will be any difference in sound between the belly exit one vs the one with the can by the wheel ? Belly exit definitely going to be louder. Austin racing exhausts have an internal baffle in the midpipe. For the side exit, it goes from midpipe to all the way up to the exhaust can. With the belly exit there is probably a very short baffle or none at all making it much louder. In terms of sound it will probably be more raw and maybe more raspy? Because the pipe is shorter. You can watch some R1 videos of gp1r exhaust and gp3 exhaust from austin racing and see if it sounds different.

Both will piss off your neighbors. 😀
What’s the asking price? There are some smoking deals on 2017 leftovers.
