Looks like Scott Russell already has the Öhlins kit on his FZ-10:

Ok, that kicks ass. Are you gonna re-flash and de-cat?
I've been looking at the R1 wheels. The Magnesium are off the R1M? No problem fitting with the ABS? Did you buy new OEM or find some used ones?

If you were in the US I'd offer to buy the OEM FZ-10 wheels from you.

Can you just buy R1 magnesium wheels and headers directly through a Yamaha dealer?

$1325 for Magnesium wheels is actually a pretty good deal when you consider Carrozzeria forged aluminum wheels are about $1800. "...Comes the R1 with lightweight magnesium wheels. In comparison to cast wheels saves here a 870 g. 530 g forward. 340 g rear. That is about 4% less rotating mass in front and 11% rear, which enhances handling." I wonder how the factory magnesium wheels compare to some aftermarket ones that cost like $4000 for the set

870 grams = 1.92 lbs. Pretty substantial especially considering it's rotating mass. Anything lighter than that might be dangerous on the street.
Ghostrider: did you notice a difference in handling?

Hmmm- I clicked the link for the front wheel. Seems the price is a little different - $1,232.77. Rear comes in at $743.53.

Correct me if I'm wrong. A titanium header will still discolor from heat, but ceramic coating will not. Seems like a better way to go at about 1/3 the price.
