I had hopped off to help push start another friend and he backed into me and knocked my bike over. I watched it tip over in super slow motion. He actually managed to hop off his bike and sorta catch it. The damage is super minimal. Paint mark on the headlight cover where he made contact with his passenger seat cowl (if anyone has suggestions for fixing that, im all ears, the replacement is 133$ and on back order) and my right foot peg snapped in half.
If anyone has the OEM footpegs that they aren't using, I would really appreciate it if you would sell me (ill pay a fair price and shipping) the right footpeg. I dont need the mounting bracket or anything, just the right peg itself.
This is my first new bike and I saved up for a long time to buy it, and its honestly my dream bike, and I have been trying to take very very good care of it, so this has broken my heart. I'm enlisted military so its hard to afford things like this, plus being 22 doesnt help with insurance. I really appreciate anyone willing to help me out. In around 10 years of being two wheels down in some way, shape, or form and about 8 bikes, I am fortunate enough to have never dropped or crashed a bike, so I am new to this experience.
Thanks for reading, Im off to cry myself to sleep.

Hey bud, is the headlight cover backordered everywhere? Have you tried shopping at the various online sites that sell oem parts? Rockymountainatvmc, partzilla, onlinecycleparts, etc? Also, you may be able to source a footpeg from a different bike that used the same stuff if you don't want to buy one, also available from the mentioned sites above. A quick search across oem/partzilla yielded the following: Cowling for $111. Peg for $10. Partzilla has a cool parts compatibility feature that tells you what a certain part can fit on. For instance, looks like we share footpegs with a 04-06 FZ6, 06-09 FZ1, and a couple older model FZRs. The trick to saving money with these stores is buying all the stuff you need at once to save on shipping costs, it's free when over a certain order amount. Shop around for the best price/deal. Good luck!

^ just a word of caution, the 2nd gen FZ1 (2006-2015) does not share footpegs with the FZ10. FZ1 OEM footpegs are rubber topped, unlike the ones that come on the 10. I'm pretty sure the footpegs for the FZ6 are rubber topped as well.
They may fit, but they're not the same.
