Two different types available, bar end type and bolt type. I chose the bolt type and decided to mount it at the rear of the bike. Website: lidlox.comLink to Specific Product Used: lidlox.com/products/8031-b- You can also just email Matt sales@lidlox.com and let him know you want the 8mm x 1 3/8" bolt if you go this same route or a different size bolt for another location of your choice... -Tools: 6mm Allen Wrench Small Allen Wrench (comes with kit) Blue Loctite 3/8" drill bit Simple Install Video: Location I choose -Remove 8mm bolt with 6mm Allen. The Kit with parts:
Picked up some rubber washers from the plumbing isle at Home Depot to avoid rubbing on the frame. Use a 3/8" drill bit to open up the center hole to fit better. Apply some blue loctite and tighten with the slot facing the 10-11 o'clock position. This avoids any interference with the rear turn signal when the helmet hangs. Helmet without T-Bar: Helmet with T-Bar: Review: Very happy with it so far. Not an eye sore on the bike and seems very sturdy as far as protection. It's definitely easier to hang with the T-Bar, but I don't really like carrying it in my pocket, so I just hang my helmet directly off the D-rings...

Great info. Thanks for sharing. Wish our bikes came from the factory with this feature.

Could you just leave the T-bar attached to the lock all the time instead of putting it in your pocket? Any how, cool lock and thanks for sharing it!

coyote, yes you could, but I would be afraid of it getting snagged on something and wouldn't want it flapping around while riding...I think I have found a spot to store it through, between the frame and seat. Just have to find away to secure it...

so, you don't really need the T bar? Just the helmet's D-ring will fit in the lock's slot?
