What low profile tank bag is everyone using? I had a cortex 2.0 bag on my fz07 but this bag doesn't fit the fz10.. any ideas?

I picked up a SW-MOTECH Quick-Lock EVO Daypack Tank Bag, it's a beautiful thing. It is only big enough to fit a phone, wallet, camera, and bottle of water and maybe one more small item. It's expensive but it's high quality stuff. It also doesn't touch your paint.  |

Did a 20hr+ trip with an Oxford OL185 X2. I went through heavy to light rain for ~3+ hours, no leaks on my return home. Only complaint is that the GPS/Phone pocket does not a have a cover. Due to direct sunlight on the electronics (where the clear plastic is) it heats up the device quickly. I used a wash cloth to cover the plastic cover, but I had to have the zipper open on the top of the pocket and tucked the cloth between the tank and the bag. That was when it wasn't raining.  |

I have been using the Joe Rocket Manta XL Tank Bag for about three years now and it does a good job with adaquete storage for what it is. I don't use it much on the FZ-10 since I purchased the Nelson Riggs Tail Bag but will use it from time to time if I need extra storage. As long as you are careful with the magnets (there are 4 on the bag) it works great. Has plenty of room and is well constructed for the money. The rain covers works well also....although wish I didn't know that from experience! |
