I initially posted this on the MT10 Forum prior to purchasing my FZ-10. I decided to post it here also:
"I finally got the call from the dealership yesterday notifying me that my FZ-10 has arrived and will be available to see later in the day. I immediately confirmed an appointment for mid-afternoon. Having placed deposits on the first FZ in the door at numerous dealerships in my area, this is the first dealer to receive one. With my level of excitement rising I headed out to the dealer later in the afternoon.
As I arrived at the dealership and entered the showroom I saw the FZ as if perfectly positioned between the double swung doors leading from the rear of the showroom to the bike fit up area. Two guys were putting the final touches on the Raven Black FZ. They appeared to have just completed the build as I arrived. "Perfect Timing" I thought. As they began to roll the FZ from the fit up area to the showroom, I made a beeline to meet them at the spot where the bike was being positioned.
As they placed the bike on the side stand, One guy noticed that I was fixated on the FZ as soon as I walked into the building.
He looked up and said to me "Nice Bike Right?!".
To which I replied "Yes it sure is! This is what I am here to see"
He seemed a bit surprised and said "Cool, I'm impressed that it has cruise control"
"Yes it does, nice feature to have for long trips" I replied.
"Absolutely! Well the salesman will be with you in a moment" he said and retreated back to the fit up area and closed the double swung doors.
I immediately began to circle the FZ like a shark circling it's prey. The initial thought that came to my mind was "WOW! It's incredible how good this bike looks in person! The pictures online does not do it justice".
As I continued to circle the bike and admire everything about, the salesman approached and introduced himself.
Trying to contain my excitement I said "Looks great!". He concurred. I asked "Mind if I sit on it?". "Sure" He replied.
I swung my right leg over the seat, lifted the bike of the side stand, and settled into the saddle. The bike fit me perfectly with both feet adequately flat footed. I rocked her from side to side and thought "It feels light, much lighter than my current 570+ pound bike".
While still attempting to contain my excitement as negotiations were about to begin, I hopped off and gave her another walk around before starting the buying process. With negotiations complete I returned to the FZ, took a few photos and will be picking this beauty up on Friday. CAN. NOT. WAIT!!!"

How was your first weekend? It was absolutely incredible..being my first brand new bike and my first ~1000cc bike, it blew me away. I was extremely happing with purchasing the -10 after extensive research and stalking the dealerships in my area to get the first one that arrived lol..And every single mile of approximately 5,500 has been a blast!!
