Nice Article. It's funny to me how different opinions are cross the different press platforms. MCN thinks the Fire Blade was best and both Fast Bikes Magazine and Motorcycle.com thinks the Aprilia was best...It's all subjective. Personally If I were to buy one it would be the Aprilia.

I just read this issue last night! I bleed blue, I thoroughly enjoyed reading the R1 take favors. I've always had something in my gut against Honda (except my lawnmower) and the overall 'meh' of the CBR was not a surprise. They always seem to take something and make the least exciting version of it. And the DN-01.
The tribute article for Nicky Hayden was also a good read, especially Rossi's memories.

Honda's bikes are like their cars. A solid B to B+ at everything. They lack passion at the extremes.

Most Honda's are chosen with the head rather than the heart, my own Civic included, immensely practical and reliable as a rock but only kinda fast and kinda fun and the brakes are okay... Good on fuel though, My 2002 BMW 325i was much more fun but as practical as a chocolate BBQ grill and terrible on fuel. Should have bought the 330i...
As Landmark518 said, it is funny how different publications picked a different winner, Performance bikes picked the GSXR after putting all the bikes they tested on the same tyres and letting some guy called Michael Rutter do the riding, they couldn't get the Aprilia though so it was GSXR, S1000RR, R1 and Fireblade.

The problem with Aprilia is the dealer network is horrible in the US Agreed 100%, I used to work at a big dealership that hosted a huge variety of brands. Aprilla was a pain to get parts for, that and we sometimes had no idea how long it would take to get a part. There was more than a few times an Aprilla came in for a repair, and sat for months and months waiting for parts.
