I am running the 2WDW flash with stock exhaust, 2,600 miles. I have noticed the last few rides that when I really get on it in 2nd or 3rd 3-4k RPMs I initially get an engine growl but almost a hesitation of sorts. Almost like the clutch slips briefly. Hard to explain but saying that no matter how hard I lay on it the front wheel would not come up is about how I would explain it. Am I just expecting too much at that RPM range for those gears? If I pull from a stop the tire will lift in 1st, then briefly in 2nd. but roll on is different. Is it TCS? I am in either mode 1 or 2, same result, haven't turned it off yet but will.
This is really the first "sport bike" I have owned, came off a VMax that did not care about gear or RPM it just launched. I will do more "testing" but just curious about others experience
Thx - Tom

I would try turning off the traction control or at least mode 3. Least intrusive. I use 1 almost as a lift control. Also, just checking, you are in power mode "B"? Mode A will give you the same power but at a different delivery and not as apt to come up with the power coming on less abrupt.

TC 3 is most intrusive.

I think av8er is getting his R1 and his FZ-10 mixed up. Clueless as to why Yamaha switched the numbering/lettering system for TC and power modes on our bikes.

Ha 600 is the same for modes which in most cases refers to throttle controls except in the case of the R1 where mode can control multiple strategies. TC is still 1 thru X

and I am not worried about the front wheel coming up, but a lack of go when I hammer it for a brief few seconds and no wheel lift. I have even looked behnd me to see if I was spinning the rear wheel as that is the feeling, lots of noise and no go for a second, almost like clutch slipping
