There seems to have been an insane amount of misinformation out there regarding the FZ10 spring rates. Some qill give you FZ1 rates, some R1, neither of which are correct. I just completed my sring swap saga with K-tech, only to find out that the springs they send me (8.5N) were almst identical to the ones the shop pulled out. K-tech stated the OEM front springs were 10.3N, which the shop owner gave a resounding NO to. I'm starting to get a little ticked off with K-tech in particular, especially afer being nothing but clear with them in all measurements, model, year, etc.
FZ-10 OEM spring info (according to K-Tech) Front springs 220mm length 10.3N Rear Spring 160mm length 88N
What I purchased from K-Tech on their recommendation Front springs 230mm length 8.5N (220mm not available in 8.5N / cut spacer 10mm to compensate) Rear spring 155mm length 80N (160mm not available in 80N)
So if the suspension shop is correct (they always have been), the OEM front spings are way closer to 8.5N than 10.3N, causing me to have wasted A LOT of money purchasing and installing the front springs. Hopefully for the sake of my wallet, someone can confim the EM fron springs are in fact a lot stiffer than 8.5N.
TL;DR: Does anyone know the OEM sping rates, and can you provide hard data on them? Looking for facts with data, not secondhand info.
Thanks, Rick

Thank you sir! Looks like they got the rear correct at 85N. I couldn't find the info in the link you provided for the front rates though. Am I just blind?

Found them stating it in another thread that the OEM front spring rate is 9.1N.
So yeah, I'm pretty pissed at K-Tech right now. Just wasted about $250 on a respring because they gave me the wrong info. Won't be buying from them again.
