You can open up your options with an R1 front end. Just need the FZ-10's top triple if you want to keep the handlebars. It's all interchangeable.

Hmm yes didnt think of that, probably more of them around second hand too. I need the FZ10 bottom tree, but I think i will need to go custom for the top due to different interfaces for the steering stem nut. I think the FZ10 top tree will sit too low, but that might give me more room to slide the forks around. Time for geometry maths. I want the option to keep the bars, I haven't decided if this is going to become an F707R(clipons) or stay a street bike with an FZ-10 front end. You can open up your options with an R1 front end. You could use the triple tree off an R1, as well. The forks and steering stem are identical.

DId you end up swapping the front on your FZ07? I'm in the process of research and hunting down dimensions. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm with you on keeping the riser bars.

I'm still working on it. Im sourcing the parts. You need to keep the risers, as clipons will hit the 07 bodywork. I also want the risers to maintain the steering stabilizer mount from the o7 that i run right now. ~Pete
