So i only have about 20 miles on the bike (drove it home from the dealer lol). Something I noticed...the bike seems to have a stuttery/grindy issue when coming out of first from a stop if I'm in TC setting 3. When I hopped on the bike and left the dealer it was set on 1. So I realize this mid drive and change to 3, and then notice every time i came to a light, letting out the clutch and going it would kind of shutter/have a grind to it for a few seconds then it resumes normal. Its not me not throttling it enough or bogging it down. Is this normal? It seems like the traction control is being more aggressive out of the hole but I'm not sure.
I've never had a bike with traction control so it may be just a normal thing, but rather ask. Thanks guys!
(sorry if this is a dumb question lol)

Put it in 2 or 1. 3 is for wet conditions and the most aggressive.

Thanks guys. I'm aware of the modes but I was just asking more so if this was a characteristic of having traction control on the bike. Wanted to make sure everything was running normal. On the ride home I was just going through all the settings making sure everything was operational.

I do not believe what you're experiencing is traction related as much as it's stock fuel mapping related.

Getting a ECU flash will improve the fueling a ton. I found the bike idles smoother and takes away from a stop much nicer.

Thanks for the reply guys. The more I drove it today I think you are right on the money. Seems to vary a bit. It seems like this bike doesn't like to be rolled out slowly from a stop (at least that's how it feels to me lol). I definitely want to get a reflash, just hope the MPG doesn't already take a hit as it sucks in the first place

I was having the same issue and I think it may just be giving it more throttle. I've noticed by doing that it goes away. And also I've noticed if I let out my clutch really slow and give it gas it doesn't shutter either when in slow traffic.

Also some of this can be attributed to being the Cross-Plane motor. It doesn't have the same feel as the traditional inline 4.
I had an 09 R1 and noticed the same thing compared to my 06 R1.
