Hey everyone, just wanted to make an intro post and welcome myself to the forum. I remember last year joking to my buddy after seeing a picture of the FZ-10 that if this bike came to the states i'd be replacing my R6 with it. Well, that day has come. I made the mistake of riding his FZ-09 and fell in love with the upright position (and man that low end grunt). Honestly I love my R6 a lot, but the leaned over position is just too much. I even added Helibars to it to make it more upright and I still have neck and back cramping. I enjoy riding my wifes Ninja 300 more than my R6 just because of the comfort factor, haha. Have a ton done to the R6, its going to be sad letting it go but once I ride the -10 i'm sure i'll quickly forget about it. Picking it up tonight, can't wait! Got it in black. I must say the gray/neon color is a lot nicer in person, but I like the way the black hides some of the hard qualities of this bike and plus I can decide what color scheme I want to go with if I choose to sway from the red. Attached a pic of my R6, and a photo of a projector retrofit I did on my wifes Ninja 300. I own a side business that specializes in aftermarket performance work for cars mostly, but I had the pleasure of working on these lights since the stock setup leaves a lot to be desired on the 300 as far as light output. Man, what a difference. Funny thing is, I purchased a set of projectors for the R6 that I had planned on retrofitting as well, but obviously thats not happening! I'm looking forward to the LED headlights from the -10, just wish they would do away with the one light being illuminated. I'm a graphic designer so the whole "balance" thing really gets to me lol. Its also quite annoying when others think your headlight is out - i've had people get out of their car to tell me my R6 light is out. When I flash the high beam they are quite confused. Looking forward to this bike and the community. Kawasaki Ninja 300 Retrofit by joe scalise, on Flickr 2015 Kawasaki Ninja 300 by joe scalise, on Flickr When I first picked up the R6. Welcome to the forum! Yes, a lot of people are learning that leaning forward on city streets is not a requirement to go fast.
Still, that was a nice R-6 you had there!
