Just wondering what kind of helmet everyone is wearing and why? I prefer my shoei helmets best for the street but I drag race with an arai on.

Arai saved my life bigtime once. I only wear Arai now. I currently have three, but the one that I bought to use specifically because of this bike is the Defiant Pro-Cruise. The little flip-up visor on the main visor doesn't drag or make noise so it makes the helmet a "do-all" for me, just like the FZ-10. The Defiant is designed for our type of bike with an anti-lift chin fairing and plenty of ventilation.
I combine this helmet with the Sena SMH10 for Bluetooth capabilities and all is well in my world.

I have an HJC RPHA-10 and a Shoei GT-Air. I actually think the HJC is quieter on the FZ, for some reason the Shoei buffets if i turn my head at speed. The Shoei ended up being more comfortable and has the drop down shield for late day. I keep the HJC fitted with a smoke screen. Both have pinlock so that's nice oh and the HJC vents nicer.

Shoei RF-1200 with a transitions shield. Shield is way overpriced, but it's so nice not messing with a visor or swapping shields.
I tried on a few helmets at the AIM Expo last year and liked the RF-1200 the best mainly because it fit right and because of how compact it is. It seemed much less bulky than anything else I tried on.

Shoei rf-1200, fits well but seems loud on the fz10. I wear earplugs most of the time so not really a problem on the noise, but I also do not believe the claims that Shoei are quiet helmets.

Had a lot of helmets on my noggin. Suomy,Arai,Shoei. Right now I'm using a Bell RS1 and a Scorpion R2000. Both are excellent lids in the $200-$350 range.

Shoei Neotec Imminent Helmet. Best $650 I ever spent on a helmet. Quiet as a mouse and very nice aerodynamics.
