I hope this question is in the right place. I am looking to get a two brothers link pipe and slip-on. Does anyone have a Dynojet chart for this setup? I am curious to see if there is any mid-range drop in power.

I am curious to see if there is any mid-range drop in power. I have the two bros S1R with decat / link pipe. I have a chart (after tuning) but it was done on a chassis dyno (not dynojet). Tails off at the top. I can't load the image here but it is on the MT-10 uk forum. I got the P1X (suppression insert) I leave it in all the time since it makes my ears bleed with out it. (even with ear plugs in) mt10ukoc-forum.boards.net/attachment/download/376Before the tuning (fuel + ETV maps) it was a bit sluggish off the bottom but no noticeable flat spots. After tuning it was making plenty more torque in the upper mid range -> 9K peak.

Thanks Paul, I literally just got my S1R and am in the process of installing it. Did you use a servo buddy? I plan on taking off the exup, and hope I won't get a check engine light. At least until I've mailed the ECU in to get it flashed.

Thanks. If I leave the servo motor in with the cables out, will I still get a CEL?

To the best of my knowledge you will be 'ok' if you remove the cables but leave the motor connected. You only need the servo buddy when the motor is removed.

At least until I've mailed the ECU in to get it flashed. I took the cables for the exup out. I left the exup motor plugged in - so that will prevent the code. If you get it flash tuned you can get it disabled in the ECU at that point. I also took out the AIS at the same time. (used Smart moto kit for that - which has a dongle for the wiring harness) But even with that out there was a fair bit of popping on decel before the tune was done. If you didn't get the P1X and then you decide to put it in after it is really easy. just 4 bolts and the end cap comes off the S1R and there is a big spring washer that holds it in. I left my O2 sensors in. (they are disabled in most ECU flashes / tunes.) I unplugged the LH side and just pulled the cable out of the frame area for the RH side. Then it can be twisted to un-thread it out of the Cat / in to the link pipe again. My link pipe came from Two Bros with 12mm adapters and I bought some 18mm bungs off ebay for when I take out the sensors. There is a guy who sells the connectors to plug up the O2 connectors on the wiring harness also. (female side of the 4 way plug and rubber inserts to block up all the holes and make it water proof.) You can probably tape it also. The RH side is hard/impossible to get to with out the tank off. O2 bungs: www.ebay.com/itm/M18x1-5mm-O2-Oxygen-Sensor-Bung-Plug-Cap-Thread-Hex-Bung-with-Washer/253387828863?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649O2 block off Connectors: easternbeaver.com/Main/Elec__Products/Connectors/Sealed/SM-HM/sm-hm.html2 of these from memory: 4P090WP-HM Female Item# 4P090WP-HM-F 8 of these: (4 plugs per connector.) HM/MT Plug My link pipe was leaking around the header joint so I used some high temp silcon sealant (two bros instructions) on that. Not a super snug fit.

Thank you all for the input. I got it installed and it feels like I may have lost some low end power, barely noticeable though. I also have a bit of an exhaust leak on the left side where the headers meet the link pipe. To use the high temp sealant, did you have to remove the link pipe?

When I had to put sealant on my hindle exhaust, I disassembled it all. Then I put a thin layer on the inside of the joints and put it all back together. Let it cure for the suggested time and haven't had a leak since

I took the end can off but left the O2 sensors in and made sure there was enough slack in the cables to slide the mid pipe back until they are just about to come off then applied the sealant to the header side of the joint and slid the mid pipe back on. Left it to cure then tightened it up. Not much clearance around the back of the pipes and the sump of the motor. but enough to get in there.

Thanks, that's what I was hoping for, to remove the pipe with the O2 sensors in. I'll give it a shot tomorrow.

Hi Paul, I have a few questions, hoping you can help answer. 1. Do you know if there is a significant drop in hp/torque after installing the P1X? 2. Is the sound with the P1X as muffled as the stock exhaust. I am asking because I plan on getting the ECU flashed and wasn't sure if they need to do a different tune for a setup with the P1X versus just the two brothers slip-on.

Just ordered all the parts. I followed SLV's post on how to take off the ECU and the O2 sensors. Also thanks for the suggestion of using high temp silicone sealant. I have used it, but will not be able to tell if there's a leak till I get my ECU back.

I have read that there is not much if any drop. (I could not tell since I got it tuned after I rode it once and the ECU tuning makes a massive difference) I took mine to the dyno guy and he said he would do the runs with and without the P1X. Afterwards he said he left it in after some checking because he thought the difference was not going to be significant. A little drop at the very top end he said. As for the sound level it will be plenty louder than the stock exhaust even with the P1X. Especially around 3-4K RPM. I notice it is quieter once you get to say 6-7K RPM. It has a bark just off idle / low RPM that can not be suppressed! Anyway, I would not go back. It's really good for me at least. On a long ride I wear ear plugs. Short rides are OK without.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback. I will consider it if the noise gets to me. In the last two days of riding, its been bearable.

The term, "upgrade" is obviously a subjective one, and some of you guys may not agree that a slip-on tip is an upgrade, but it’s another choice nonetheless... I installed my new ProRace GP-S1M tip last night, and rode it today. I’m pretty happy for now. Why I bought it and, it turns out, why I like it: Retain catalytic converter, AIS hardware, etc for now. Inexpensive. Incredibly simple installation, using stock hardware and mount. Unique look. I like the look a lot, actually. A bit more volume, but not too much. It’s acknowledged that most of the sound/volume management is done at the cat, but the stock exhaust can evidently managed some of the sound as well. It made me smile the first time I fired it up, and I really enjoyed riding it today. The sound and volume are perfect for me -- exactly what I was hoping for. www.pro-race.co.uk/#!/Yamaha/c/23990821/offset=0&sort=priceAsc This is NOT my YouTube video. It is a good reflection of the sound, though: MY PHOTOS:

Well I just took the plunge into Titanium exhausts. Just ordered Arrow Half GP Ti, 71159HCP, should be to me in the next 10 days, adding Woolich QS/AB and tuning it at my dealership. Will post video and dyno numbers once done, I cannot wait to hear how spicy this thing will sound.

If ur just doing slip on its gunna sound bout same as the stock muffler
