Which cable specifically? Did you mean FTECU?

The one that goes to the Ecu plug? They have good directions on their site, once you have registered there it will give you access to the download page, they have a good guide with pics.

4 quick tips...
1. There are little plastic plugs where u are gonna plug in the ftecu cables into (the 3 small cables) u have to remove these plugs. Use a needle and pry them up from the side. Do not do what I did and push them in cause they will get stuck in there. 2. When plugging in wires, they have a little square end piece that goes in the hole, but becareful because there is an upside the them, (line up the notch on the wire with the hole) 3. the big plug that u have to disconnect from the ecu has a little clip in the middle, not the ones on the sides. Then pull open the bracket and u can now disconnect it. 4. If u r gonna leave the cable under seat then route small wires down between tank and frame before plugging them in. If u plug them in then the other end won't fit through
Everything else is pretty much all on the instructions that you can download from website. Also you can call ftecu if u have any questions, they r great.
To to get to the ecu.. remove triangle fairing piece on left (shifting) side of the bike. To do so it's 2 bolts, the top one and the back one. (Don't have to remove the front one) (remove the closest one to the rear tire) then Slide the fairing piece forward and it comes out.
Goodluck, wish I had these tips when I did it.
