I agree, the clutch cable usually comes uninstalled from the factory Really? Do you know why? That's weird. At any rate, I didn't know that, and without knowing if my bike pulls to the right or not, it's definitely tight when turning left. If I raise the front of the bike, it definitely springs back to almost straight when turned to the left. Once it has weight over front tire, it doesn't spring back, but obviously there's there's tension there. Do you know how the cable is supposed to be routed? Just curious. Thx.

I can’t say my bike ever pulled to the right, but what I did find when I was exploring bar risers was not expected. When I tried installing bar risers, I disconnected the clutch cable only to find that mine was resting or pinched between the frame an a small eyelet looking piece. I flashed a light to look a littler harder to find the stock clutch cable was showing significant wearing. I removed it and sure enough, all the cable insulation or protectant was wore away from that pinch point after 3000 miles. Instead of replacing with stock as I knew it was tight,, I called up motion pro and had them extend the length by an inch, but keeping the stock look. They have the OEM drawing of the cable so ordering was quick and simple. With the new custom cable installed, there is plenty of slack and the cable is no longer pulled tight when turned to the left. I would highly recommend it! Cant remember the price off hand at the moment though, but was worth it.

Really Really, its honestly just done because a lot of the times the techs don't take a moment to look at the manual believing they know it by memory or whatever... I did it a time or two when I was the FNG at the local Yamaha shop so its a rookie mistake. If its bouncing back that hard on its own it sounds like its pretty bad, what I did was remove the cable from the lever and took it all the way out of the eyelet near the steering stem. make sure the cable is going between the right radiator hose and the oil cooler hose up behind the fan in the eyelet, made sure I had good slack and reinstalled into the lever. I dont have a manual but cable routing will be in there if you have one. In any case its quite simple, just try and give as much slack between that eyelet and the lever. this is a safety concern so getting it done ASAP should be a priority.

My 2017 FZ10 also pulls to the right with CC on. Thinking it’s something to do with the auto steering stabilizer . May be that way on purpose , making sure. One hand stays on the handlebars, safety concerns .. ig law suits..

I have had 5 rear tires on mine in the last 16000mi. I am convinced that the tire causes this (or slight alignment + tire) I have had S20, s21 and Road 5's. Some pulled slightly, the previous tire was a Road 5 and it pulled significantly more. I just replaced the rear with another Road 5, did NOT adjust the chain or anything, just removed, spooned on a new tire and reinstalled and this tire tracks straight, perfectly straight. I also have an Aprilia Tuono Factory and has brand new Pirelli Diablo Corso SP tires and it pulls to the right slightly.
Just my findings

Tried the test this past week and mine pulls to the right as well. Keep in mind that I'm still on the stock tires right now.

So check your clutch cable routing… should be like the picture attached. If it is not, set cruise control and grab the cable and only hold the cable.. does the bike still pull right?

Man my bike pulls to the right and it's been worrying me a lot. Glad I'm not the only one. This thread was a huge relief lol.
I'm new here and this is my first post. Glad to have found this place because there is no decent subreddit for this awesome bike.
Anyway, I have a thought about why the bike might be pulling right. I don't feel like it really does it when it's not in cruise control. I wonder if it is because the chain is not centered on the bike. Maybe because the chain is to the left of the bike overall, and that's where the power is being delivered, it is causing it to go right, similar to how it would be if you push a shopping cart from a non-centered position. Maybe we didn't notice this on the mt09 because it didn't have cruise control. Could be way off base, but this is my only guess.

Clutch Cable Counter Steer.
Put the cruise control on at 60 mph straight road and with your left hand push the handle bar forward. The tire will go right, however the bike will counter steer and will turn left..
The clutch cable is pulling ever so slightly on the left bar because of the way it’s routed and it’s turning the bike.
