Installed the Madstad 20" Clear on Monday. Excellent fit - easy install - very well made system (as expected - have several bikes with Madstad setups).
I was able to get out for a test ride - made lots of adjustments throughout the range and settled in with it all the way up and midway in the fore/aft adjustment. It's pretty good, but another inch of height would be more perfect. I'll ride it with the 20" for a while, but the 22" is probably where I'll end up.

How have those of you with a Madstad screen found it in the long run? Any issues at high speeds and/or damage to the head cluster or product itself over time?
Or any other feedback worth mentioning to propsective buyers of the screen....

Morning! I have used the 22" version for many miles and it works awesome. I also splurged and bought the flyscreen (sport shield) as well. The quality is top notch and the ability to swap screens in a couple of minutes really makes this system unique. Good luck with your decision.....

Thanks for the reply, just recently purchased the 22” second hand. The initial problem I had was with the original well nuts being damaged and so I’m still waiting on some replacements for these before I can get out and about with it. My initial thoughts are that it certainly is a quality product but at 22” with only a plastic mount on the MT10... Feels like, looking for trouble? The head cluster/mount on the MT10 is plastic and that plastic connects to the head mount frame holder with two bolts on the face with one on either side as well. The MADSTAD screen then connects to that plastic but at no point does it anchor to anything else. So you literally end up with a 22” screen connected to plastics..... Would love to hear from someone that’s put 10-20,000 km’s on their MT10 with this MADSTAD setup before I get cracking/touring with it next year.

My goldwing had a smaller windscreen Yep, some say size doesn’t matter, it’s how you use it that counts. But both my ears and my ...... beg to differ

I don't even see it being available anymore on their website madstad.com/collections/yamaha/products/yamaha-fz-10-2013just checked, still being sold. It’s frickin brilliant though. Pops on/off in 2 seconds leaving naked look n feel. Then they sell a smaller fixed screen that connects in seconds to the same mounts and is interchangeable. madstad.com/collections/yamaha/products/fz-10-2017-fly-screen-kitTook it for a solid run yesterday and it performs brilliantly, mileage also appears identical to what I get naked. Highly recommended product if the MT10’s plastic head cluster is strong enough.

I'm looking to get this, but it's hard to judge the actual height. Where does the 18/20/22" start? Could someone take a measurement from the top of the center light to top of their screen and let me know if that is the measurement, or how it correlates to the listed height.

I dunno I like the way my setup looks but mostly just how practical it is. Two clips and it’s off, go naked or go blast free it’s absolutely brilliant. Just back from a 3 day tour and damn this screen is brilliant. Hitting 100 and beyond without getting blasted is an experience to behold. Been riding only 5 years and never owned anything other than MT07 MT10, that’s why I now have ringing ears, too many tours on naked rides totalling 60,000 + km’s. I’m lucky my hearing still appears ok minus the tinnitus. I now hit the highways in peace sporting ear plugs and a MADSTAD. If I could turn back time I wouldn’t have ridden any other way.

Everyone here that started with the 18” ultimately ended up at 22”. You have a decent amount of lift and drop on the screen so the taller screen guarantees you the best coverage while allowing you to lower it significantly as well.

Yea I don't do enough highway riding to justify that lol. I did pick up an MRA windscreen to help a little so we'll see how it works come spring.

I currently have a givi sport screen and it works well up to 60-65mph. Only need 2-4" taller to get where id like the wind to hit. So trying to compare height mine and this one from a fixed point.
