This is an interesting concept.

Install Video and a Review Video I found on YouTube. Seems that install instructions for some products are just not up to par these days. LOL At least he got it sorted and it works for him just fine.

Just curious to know, what others are using to prevent motorcycle theft?

Just curious to know, what others are using to prevent motorcycle theft? I just have insurance. My cousin's friend had his R1 stolen and the thieves just loaded it on a truck and ran off. Nothing you can do about that with a disc lock. It will prevent rideaway thefts though.

Just curious to know, what others are using to prevent motorcycle theft? My garage. Followed by not leaving my bike in areas that are conducive to bike theft and or out of my sight.

GPS tracking is about the only thing that can help track a stolen bike.

I've toured a lot on my gen1 FZ1 and didn't put too much effort in security since no one really wants to steal an older well-used FZ1 (still have it and still love it for touring) If I'm touring with my new FZ10 and have to park outside at a Motel/Hotel I'll put a bike cover on it and bright yellow Disc Lock and cable. Don't get an audible Disc lock...they just piss people off and rarely work as intended. I also have a Spot Trace which sends me a txt and gps coordinates if my bike moves. These are more of a deterrent , and yes insurance will cover the replacement of a stolen bike but it's a huge pain in the ass to deal with insurance when you are somewhere far away from home. If I'm in town I might use my disc lock depending on where I am and how long I'll be gone for. The Spot Trace will also be on it. As for the Roadlock thing, to me it's not visible enough for an opportunistic thief to notice...and a good chance I'll forget it's on myself

Disc lock is something I will forget about before taking off and many tears will be shed afterwards

A pro will get rid of any disk lock in seconds, really they're a waste of money...

True, but I think a visible disc lock does help deter an opportunistic thief...yes, a pro will take any bike they are determined to get regardless of what security precautions you use. Like I said, I will use a disc lock and a bike cover as a deterrent when I travel because generally a thief will take something with the least resistance.

I'm not a fan of these sorts of locks, if a crook wants your machine they will take it one way or the other. It is a deterrent from some joker taking it for a joy ride, but not much else. I live in an over 55 retirement village and the bike is in a locked garage when I'm not riding it so no worries there. I only go for day trips now and the bike is rarely out of my sight when I'm out and about. I have no need for a lock like this.

Just an FYI: I posted this cause I thought it was interesting not because I would do it or recommend it. LOL
I would never purposely add weight and only one sided weight to the bike that doesn't actually improve the performance or appearance of my bike in someway.
My bike is very rarely out of my view when I am out riding. When I stop to eat, I sit or ask to be seated where I can see my bike. Other places, I won't park it where I don't feel it is pretty much safe.
The other side of it is.....I have great insurance that will replace the bike. LOL
